              Owner info

              Year Purchased: 1995

About the owner: Mary Sharp-Davis is a clay artist, gardener and massage therapist who lives in Albuquerque on her beautiful one acre compound with her dog Aysha. Though 'retired' she is very active in her neighborhood, on her land and with her friends and family. Always has a project going and loves to entertain. Her home is a reflection of the beauty she creates.

              Why the Owner Chose Albuquerque:
I chose this property because is was not in the heart of cookie cutter neighborhoods. It has diversity in home style, neighbors, social economic and belief structures. It is on a dead end street so it is quiet has one acre of breathing and elbow room. It is an irrigated acre with mature trees.. like being in the country but in the city. A rare find indeed.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The house is adobe and thus takes the name Casa de la Tierra, house of the earth. Adobe building affords quietude though if you leave the windows open at night you will hear the roosters, peacocks, geese and horses that live nearby. It has a sweet adobe kiva fireplace and lovely sun room. It is light filled but designed for privacy the house is furnished with my own collections of art work, and collections of furnishings. An intimate space with all the comforts of home. Next to it are located my massage office, gallery and studio which afford me a rich diversity of choice in doing what I am passionate about. The yard space is shady, green and welcoming... a true space for relaxing or entertaining. There are gardens galore both vegetable and flowering and many places to sit and relax or chat.... swings, a hammock and many tables, benches. chairs. The off street parking, with a newly erected coyote fence for privacy and pet /child security is a real plus. It is a home I seldom have reason to leave as it inspires me feeds me and nurtures me on many levels. My hope is that its offer of sanctuary will appeal to others as well.
