  What a terrific place to stay. Spotless, well appointed, kitchen had everything we needed (even some gadgets we don't have (but will now). Beds are great. Garden area a blessing for us (We came from winter in Minnesota). We ate lunch out side most of the time. Would stay there next visit to San Diego. Easy to get to all the attractions we wanted to see.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  Our family stayed here for a week in November. The house was exactly as described and pictured in the listing. We had a very comfortable stay. The house is located in a middle class neighborhood and we loved the close proximity to all the sights around San Diego. The owner was very helpful and checked in with us during the week. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay. If you are visiting during a holiday and/or are planning to do a lot of cooking, you will want to bring some baking dishes. We were there for Thanksgiving and we could have really used a 9 x13 baking pan.

  We were here on business and wanted a comfortable place to stay. I wanted a place with convenient accommodations for my two big dogs and a safe place to walk them. Derek's house was exactly what we were looking for and the listing photos were completely accurate. The vintage tile in the main bathroom and the kitchen were a delightful plus, as was the proximity to one of my favorite restaurants, D.Z. Akins. Showers were a pleasure with the large shower head and the bathtub was big enough to have a comfortable soak at the end of a long, tiring day. Beds and linens were extremely comfortable. Lighting was nice and bright. We appreciated the light scents in the bathroom and that detergent for people with sensitive skin was used. The bonus room was perfect for the dogs. They could keep an eye on us through the big windows between the living room and the bonus room and not feel separated. The house was extremely clean, cleaner than most high-end hotels. Derek was hospitable, helpful, responsive when we had questions, and friendly. It is obvious that he enjoys dealing with people. The contract and expectations for the guests were reasonable, straightforward and clear. We have already made return reservations.

  The house was perfect for 5 of us!! It was very clean, and had a nice layout. The back yard is fenced in and was great for my toddler. The use of the garage was wonderful, as it rained when we were there. Because I have kids, I was concerned about the cleanliness, and was very pleased. Also, both beds were extremely comfortable - a plus when your exhausted from travel. The owner was great to work with, responsive and accommodating. Will definitely use again when we come into town.

  This house worked out really well! It's close to the 8, and pretty central. We enjoyed the BBQ, and the house was well stocked with all of the basics. The beds and bedding were very comfortable, as well as the living room furniture. We would love to stay here again, thanks Derek!

  We wanted to extend our appreciation again for sharing your beautiful home with us. We comfortably housed 4 people for two full weeks and were extremely happy with the location close to our family in town, Sea World and most importantly the malls! We would love to come and stay again, you made our vacation much easier! It was in lcose proxiity to all we wanted to see and do in San Diego. The house was clean, and fully stocked with everything we needed. We are looking forward to coming back again.

  We had a very good time staying in the house. We arrived very late on the first day but we had no problems getting in with the instructions we got from Derek. The house has two large bedrooms with nice beds and linens. We were a party of 6 (age 17 - 80) so we slept 2 in each bedroom and 1 on each couch (the couches can sleep 2). We cooked most of our meals during our stay and the kitchen worked well with everything we needed. So all in all we were very pleased with our stay and look forward to coming back both to San Diego and to this house.

  We loved the house! It was not small as you would think with a 2 bedroom, it had lots of room for the 6 of us. It was nice coming back to the house after the long days at the parks & beaches during the day to be able to relax seat outside with nice weather and recover for the next day. I would stay here again & would recommend people to stay at this house because it is affordable, in a great location & a great house to stay at!   My friends and I wanted to escape the rain in Seattle so we came to San Diego for a long weekend of relaxation. We choose this rental because with a group of five, the nightly rate couldn't be beat. We were all very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of this home. There was plenty of room for 5 girls and all of our luggage! The kitchen and BBQ were ideal for our backyards BBQ's, but there was also a good variety of restaurants in the surrounding area. The location of this home was great as we able to go for a hike and visit the zoo without driving too far. It was the perfect getaway and we will definitely be back next year!

  Every day when we came back to this home, we felt "at home". We were able to head to the beach with our three goofy cocker spaniels, then return and hose them off in the fenced in back yard. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful at all times and had Starbucks, a grocery store, yogurt shop all within walking distance. One of our favorite restaurants, DZ Atkins was minutes from this address. The beds were great and had high thread count linens so we had NO problem falling to sleep and staying that way. We plan on contacting Derek again for a stay in San Diego!
