Best Beach Location in Destin - An end unit Townhome facing the beach that is pet friendly. This unit is a very spacious two-story townhome, steps to an awesome pool that is surrounded by nice landscaping. Downstairs you will find a fully equipped kitchen, half bath, & spacious living area with large TV, DVD/VCR, Internet access, and cable TV. The downstairs also features a full-sized washer & dryer and a sliding door to the outdoor porch and tropical, fenced, lush community back yard. Step outside for easy grilling access. The upstairs features 2 bedrooms, each with their own full separate bathroom. The master offers a queen bed, TV, and full bath. The 2nd bedroom offers a double bed & a bunk bed, with a full bath just outside the door. This vacation townhouse is located just a short walk from the white sandy beaches of Destin.
Both units are an END UNIT, closest to the beach, with lots of privacy & convenience where you can watch your kids have fun in the pool while sipping a cold drink at the privacy of your own porch.
Both units are decorated with a beach theme and in great shape. Relax and wake up in the morning for a walk on the beach, a run or walk on the convenient pathway with your family and your pet, or enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or latte. Enjoy the short walk to Pompano Joe's (a local eating favorite) and have dinner or a cool drink on the beach. Conveniently located, we are just steps to the beach, an ice cream shop, bagel shop, internet cafe, restaurants and shopping. Take a stroll to nearby Pompano Joe's (a local favorite) and enjoy a brilliant meal or cool drink. A CVS Pharmacy and grocery store are also both very convenient and just minutes away.
You also have the convenience to enjoy your own outdoor charcoal grill for a nice relaxing grilled lunch or dinner on the covered porch - The best features of this townhome is the privacy, the pool, the roominess and the short walk to the beach.
At Summerhouse, guest privacy and enjoyment is very important. Please be advised that the Summerhouse HOA has rules and regulations - to insure comfort and guest privacy - that all guests must abide by. We fell in love with Destin when we first visited in 2001. Consequently, we purchased our two end units in Destin, hired local property managers to manage our property. The Unique Benefits at this House
When we started looking for vacation property in Destin, we wanted a location that was friendly, family oriented, clean, well manicured and close to the beach. By sheer luck, we ran into Summerhouse and we felt this was a well kept secret in Destin. Summerhouse townhomes is a beach subdivision with only 29 units shaped in the letter U with the tips of the letter U facing the beach. Within 3 years we purchased the best two units in the complex. Both end units are facing and closest to the beach.

My husband and I stayed at this condo in july 2011 and we loved it. There was plenty of room and we had 4 adults and 5 children. The pool was very close to the condo and so was the beach it took us only 2 to 3 minutes to get to the beach. The property manager was very nice and gave us advice about the area. I disagree with the review before mine the condo was clean and nothing was broke about the condo. Will be staying here again and wil highly recommend. Thanks for a great vacation stay!!!

My family and I recently stayed a the Summer House. I cannot tell you how disappointed both my family and I were. The pictures posted to this unit look so much better than the actual unit. First off, when we got their the floors were absoulity filthy. I tried to clean them but there was no mop availabale so I tried to use an old cloth. I had to call the property manager, and he came by to verify and called in the cleaning person to clean the floors. This place needs alot of TLC (very old and out dated) The screen in the enterey door fell out because the frame to the screen is warped, my husband had to fix it. The closet doors in the upstairs 2nd bedroom were broke and would only stay vertical if you left them open, which left you having to look at not a closet but a closet used as a storage area that had old bed frames, ironing boards,etc.... The vertical blinds on both sliding glass doors up and down stairs were falling off leaving huge gaps so you had no privacy, There was personal stuff, clothing, suntan oils, pictures etc... that belonged to other renters left in the drawers. The small 13" TV in the Master Bedroom had a humming sound lounder than the voices on the program you were trying to watch therefore we were not able to use the TV. The carpeting going up and down the stairs and in the bedroms were very dirty with stains etc... I tried to use the vacuum that was in the laundry room but it smelled like dog when in use. I believe the most stranges of thing was the Mater Bedrooms bed which consisted of 2 box springs and a mattress on a frame. (My husband and I are still trying to figure out that one!) I also had to go out and by my own dish clothes and drying towels in order to clean the kitchen and dishes after cooking and by the way the bbq grill that it indicates that you have is only a Smokey Joe, so you are limited in what you can bbq. The upside to this location is the pool. It is very clean and has beautiful landscaping. Also the area is quite and not to far from the beach itself.
Owner response:We had an elderly couple who stayed at this unit for three months in the winter time. This guest that is complaining insisted to get in the unit the same day the elderly couple were leaving. We asked the guest to wait until the next day so we can get it serviced, cleaned and ready, however, this guest begged to go in on the same day and promised to clean the unit if we discount the price. We did. When this guest arrived, the guest called and asked for a huge rate reduction. We offered again a decent reduction but the guest insisted on 75% off. When we refused, the guest threatened us with a negative VRBO review. We stood our ground and refused to be blackmailed. We also offered instead to send our own cleaning service and maintenance person but the guest declined. We are really sorry this event happened and we will not allow the guest to clean the unit again.

We are so excited about our townhome! It is the perfect home away from home! The pool is gorgeous, the townhome has lots of space & is nicely furnished with anything you could need. You will not find more beautiful beaches!
