Loved this beach house...
Loved this beach house...
My husband, myself, and our two children stayed in this beach house during the month of June. We had an amazing time. The house was perfect, it was clean and well maintained. Noni was very helpful during our entire stay. We would highly recommend this house, as it was a few minutes walk to the beach, and provided a lovely summer getaway from the heat in Arizona. We can't wait to come back next summer!

Great beach cottage
Great beach cottage
We loved our stay. The bedrooms were big and the sun room has an ocean view. You are a few houses from the beach . Nice having a deck and yard to BBQ in. We liked the cottage decor. Beds were comfy too. Had trouble with dishwasher not working properly but other than that, everything else was fine. Would stay again.

Great house. Close to the beach, good value. Open floor plan, wonderful kitchen and very well maintained. My only negative was the bed in the master bedroom was not that comfortable.

Manager response: We better upgrade that mattress then! Didn't know that. Next time it will be more comfortable. Thank you for choosing our cottage. Noni

My husband and I stayed here for a week with our two teenage sons and it was absolutely one of the best vacations we have ever had. The listing description was 100% accurate regarding the location. The cottage is on a very quiet dead end street and is located about 8 houses from the beach access. My boys loved walking to the beach in the evening and playing frisbee. Every morning my husband and I walked along the beach to Starbucks and to get groceries. I truly did not want to leave. I would recommend this to cottage to any family looking for a restful getaway. We are already planning to come back again next year!

We came to stay whilst visiting our son and his wife. We wanted a home from home and this is exactly what this was. Beautifully furnished, quiet and so close to the beach. It had everything we could want. We would recommend this without hesitation and would look no further for our next visit. This is a lovely part of Ventura and within easy access to the highway to take you all over. You do really need a car but everyone has one anyway so no a problem. We visited S Barbara and the mission, went whale watching, cycled from Ventura to Ojai, went to Reagan's Library to name but a few of our activities and loved them all. It was an added bonus to return each evening to a lovely home to relax in.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The sunroom was a wonderful bonus for winter months - sunny and bright, even when it was a little chilly outside. This upper duplex was well furnished, very comfortable and nicely maintained. I thought the kitchen had a great assortment of pots, pans, bowls and implements. A sunny and sheltered deck off the kitchen was a good place to soak up some sun. The oversized sectional and lounger in the livingroom provided a great space to curl up with a good book. The ground level entry was fabulous, lots of room for beach gear and in our case - bicycles! The property owner is very efficient, friendly and helpful. Thanks Nonie, we really enjoyed staying in your duplex.

Classic Beach House
Classic Beach House
So glad I found this place when looking in the Santa Barbara area. The weather was less than warm in March, so the sunroom was a lovely feature, lots of light from the large windows, great for watching the sunset. The back deck is sheltered from the NW wind and was warm when the sun was out. The place has the classic California beach house look and feel, rough board and batten walls, high wood ceiling, very comfortable with a lot of character. Dead end street is quiet, beach is really close and you can see it from the sunroom. You can leave all your sandy stuff in the lower entry, which is nice. Only things I thought it should have that it didn't were placemats--maybe they were there but I couldn't find them--and a DVD player. The place has Direct TV but the movie selection is so miserable on it I wished I had a player. Ventura has a long promenade starting at the pier, and you can also walk south to a park at the marina. Downtown Main Street is a fun scene, lots of quirky stores, thrift stores, good people watching.

We stayed at this lovely cottage for an extended time. No photo can show you how close this place really is to the beach, but you can hear the waves crashing from the sunroom. It was a beautiful place to look forward to coming home to after a day of work and had been newly remodeled. The sunsets are amazing and you can even watch them from the sunroom. The neighborhood is safe and friendly. The owners are very friendly and easy to communicate with. This is a very spacious living area and would accommodate several people just fine. The town of Ventura has so many eclectic things to discover whether art or food or wine there is something for everyone. If you are here on Saturday be sure to visit the local Farmers Market. We loved a little italian restaurant down the beach toward Seaward named Spasso. You can walk you dinner off on the walk home on the beach! Don't forget the shower in the private back yard, it is perfect after a walk on the beach. Island Packers at the Harbor is your one stop for excursions to Channel Islands National Park or just a whale watching cruise. Also, visit Red Brick Gallery in town, local artists and wonderful owners. We loved this vacation rental and the town. We look forward to visiting and staying here again (without having to work next time)!
