  I pulled together 14 people - grandparents, parents and grandkids 10-18 years old for this vacation. Everything set up perfectly. House Manager Maria was excellent point of contact to help organize transportation, outings and food. We just let Maria know what we wanted to do when, and it worked. Housekeeping is included, so we hired a cook to buy groceries, prepare every dinner and leave food for breakfast. We had a taxi/van service available at all times for longer trips. They picked us up and delivered back to the airport. Rooms are great and have own bathrooms - I loved the casita. We still walked to the supermarket for things, but that was fun. We could walk into town via the beach or the road easily. The town was the perfect in-between kinda rough and cool, and safe and full of stores. Very casual. Restaurants in town are plentiful, easy to get cash at ATMs. We went into town everyday for something. We did a river cruise, zip-lining, surfing, scuba-diving, swimming at least twice a day, cocktails on the beach at sunset, horse-back riding, etc. You open the back gate and walk onto the beach! The beach is not developed, lots of trees and scrub instead of buildings. I especially liked that there is no division between vacationers and locals. There were as many Costa Ricans on the beach and in town on vacation as us. Being on the beach is key. A+ vacation for everyone because of a great house, great house manager help to coordinate activities and food, and fun town/beach.

  This is an amazing property in an amazing area, on the beach yet setting far enough back to feel very private. This property is kept very secure by the owners and has the quility fit for the all. You will have a great time if you decide to take the leap and visit this amazing house and area!!

  If you can believe it this place is so much more stunning in person than the pictures could ever capture! We were a group of seven friends that stayed here for a week and we did not want to leave. We were greeted by Maria, one of the house managers and she was SO helpful and friendly, answering all of our questions and giving us great dinner suggestions. She also arranged for transportation to/from the airport for us making our trip stress free from start to finish. The two housekeepers were as sweet as can be as well as the maintenance and security men. I just do not have enough nice things to say about everyone we came into contact with. The property itself is just gorgeous and perfectly located. Grocery store is a 5 min walk and all the bars and restaurants are a 5-10 min walk as well. Langosta Beach Club is right next door (literally a minute walk on the beach!) and we were there at least once a day. Amazing food and lovely bartenders/management, we miss them already!! We rented bicycles and surfboards for the week, took ATV's through the jungle, horseback rides on the beach and finished up with a sunset catamaran cruise. If you walk a little ways down the beach, past Langosta Beach Club there's an opening in the jungle where you can walk in and there are monkey's everywhere! We cannot WAIT to return to Costa Rica and especially Villa Cascada, it's perfect in every way!

  os shown in the photos if the villa, this is a beautifully maintained home, indoor and outdoor! Security and maid services were exceptional as were the accommodations. Luxurious touches such as indoor fountains and gardens, a large and well planned kitchen and dining area for a large group, make this villa ideal for families, several couples, or any configuration of 12 or 13 people. The outdoor areas of the property were kept clean and comfortable as well as secure, allowing occupants to relax and enjoy the outdoor pools and entertainment areas. The setting very near the beach, restaurants, shopping, and many other opportunities for visiting nearby sites of interest made this an ideal place to stay for a full Costa Rica experience. We especially enjoyed the river tour where we saw local wildlife and were given a great deal of information by excellent tour guides. Located on the west coast, the weather was warm and beautiful in contrast to northern climates, and the people were very friendly and welcoming as well.

  Villa Cascada in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, is a wonderful place for a relaxing and fun time. I recently had the opportunity to spend a week in this beautiful home with a large group of women friends - all in need of a retreat from the real world for a time for various reasons. We were a diverse group in age, 22 – 69, and interests. The location of this beautiful home made it possible for all of us to indulge in whatever it was that we individually needed or wanted to do – from surfing lessons and night life to walking on the beach searching for beautiful shells or just lounging around enjoying the beautiful pool and patio area with a view right out to the Pacific. Wonderful restaurants and shops were literally just a walk down the beach so it was possible for us to do things as a large group, smaller groups or individuals without having to get in a car and drive anywhere. The large and well-equipped kitchen made it easy and fun for us to cook together and share our meals at the beautiful long table, which was large enough for all 14 of us to sit down and talk about our adventures of the day and of our lives. Being one of those travelers who normally tries to pack way too much into any given day of any given vacation, this was a delightful change of pace. Some us did go on a couple of excursions, arranged for us by the house manager, a pleasant and helpful woman who appears to know how to get absolutely anything accomplished that you could need or want. My favorite excursion was an hour and a half drive through beautiful and interesting countryside to the Palo Verde National Park where we boarded small boats to motor up the Tempisque River. This was a fun ride as we looked for and saw monkeys - white-faced and howlers, crocodiles, iguanas and even long-nosed bats in a line on a tree. There were also beautiful birds, gorgeous foliage and amazing views. This finished off with a typical Costa Rican lunch at the boat cabana. A wonderful day and a wonderful week. And, for once I came home from a vacation refreshed and relaxed instead of exhausted and needing a week to recuperate. I would recommend Villa Cascada to anyone for a wonderfully relaxing vacation surrounded by beauty - in the house, on the grounds, on the patio, in the pool and on the beach - which is a marvel in itself - the sand is unusual and arranges itself in interesting designs - a photographers dream.

  This property was everything that you could want and more for a getaway. We were a varied group of 12 woman of different ages and interests. There was enough space and activities to keep everyone happy.My only wish was that our stay was longer.The beach is beautiful as are the local people who were friendly and inviting. If you don't have a good vacation in this town you have problems.So go and enjoy!!!

  Beautiful property, right on the beach with great views. Easy walk to town, or just down the beach to great restaurants. Nice pool and yard area for lounging. Inside is beautiful with separate casitas or accommodations - ideal for groups where individuals may want to escape to have their own space and privacy. Safe, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and service oriented. You will leave wanting nothing more than to stay.

  We rented this house for our destination wedding. The intention was to house our immediate family for some bonding time and have a location for our wedding ceremony/reception. Villa Cascada EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS! The photos do not do it justice because the layout is so unique. The main areas are very communal, yet each bedroom is quite private. Each of the showers in this rental are quite luxurious, but the master suite and the casita have open air showers that are to die for!! We held our ceremony on the beach in front of Villa Cascada. The house is one of the first beachfront properties just beyond all of the local businesses, making it a PERFECT LOCATION in my opinion. It is close to all the commerce, yet the beach in front of the house has very little foot traffic making it feel somewhat private. The house comes with an unbeatable staff! Ines, the housekeeper, feels like part of our family now! The house was perfectly maintained and has a guard at night offering an extra bit of security to an already safe location. For a number of delicious beach restaurants just step out of your front gate and walk the beach a few minutes! You will not go wrong if you choose this home for your vacation, be it a couples' retreat, family reunion, wedding or a simple getaway. You will feel as if you stepped into the pages of and exotic travel magazine, and you will be set to experience some of the best beach flavor Costa Rica has to offer!

  We rented the main house for 2 weeks (family and friends). It is by far the best location in the area for a pristine sandy beach (great boogie boarding!), 5 min. walk to town, great nearby restaurants, and access to other amenities such as meeting up with sport fishing boats, sunset cruises, surfing lessons etc. Everything is walking distance from the beach (and your back door). Great pool and deck area, and spacious rooms with a great house staff keeping the place safe,secure, clean and well maintained daily. In addition, we appreciated easy access to the Property Managers, when we had questions. We will be back; it just doesn't get much better. Thanks!

  We went to Costa Rica to celebrate my father's 70th birthday with both my parents, my husband and two sons (15 and 16) as well as my sister, brother-in-law and two nieces (12 and 13). This house was fantastic to accomodate all 10 of us with a large dining room table to comfortably seat all of us around it. Our days were spent surfing, swimming in both the ocean and the pool and included a couple of excursions running out of Tamarido since we didn't want to spend vacation time travelling. A highlight was the sunset catamaran cruise on the 65 foot Merina Del Rey. As a previous review stated, the pictures of this property do not do it justice and the staff (housekeeper, groundskeeper and security guard) were all very kind, helpful and trustworthy. We would definitely go back to Tamarindo and this property in the future.
