If I return to Paris, I would not hesitate to stay at this apartment again. The location was perfect. It was a 5 minute walk to the Palais Royale Metro stop. The Louvre itself was 5 minutes away. The Tuileries gardens = 5-10 minutes (I do walk fast, but they're that close)! Many bistros and shops are practically right outside the door - check out Cafe Louise right down the Rue Croix des Petits Champs, and the Place des Victoires (2 minutes North) has some great window shopping (and boutiques). This apartment is peaceful and quiet by day - hardly any traffic or noise, and as it's across from the Banque de France, there's not much going on at night, either. There are conveniences as well, a fabulous bakery around the corner for fresh pain au chocolat and baguettes and a drug store down the street (maybe 4 or 5 doors). I really loved this neighborhood and always felt safe, even alone at night. The apartment itself is not large, but it's charming, functional, and clean. Two couples and me (adult female) fit just fine (I got the daybed in the living room). Keep in mind that the upstairs bedroom is a loft and therefore it's not super private, but the downstairs bedroom is enclosed. Our Welcome2France shuttle service went perfectly. And free long distance?!? Amazing. When we had questions they were answered promptly...we had a great experience with Welcome2France. We really only had trouble with the washer/dryer combo - I accidentally washed/dried my clothes twice. Quel dommage! Oh, BTW, in France, the 1st floor means you walk up a flight.

We would like to thank you for the beautiful time we spent at your apartment. It was a remarkable experience! Sometimes the pictures look better than the real place, But with that lovely apartment -they were just the real thing Unfortunately we could not stay more, but any time we will be in Paris we would love to stay there again. The connection with you was more than someone can ask for. Quick, prompt, clear, polite and helpful. Our contact was waiting for us on the apartment, she was so polite and helpful. We felt at home!!! We enjoyed our stay very much, and honestly recomend the apartment to other people. Thanks for everything.

We loved, loved, loved this apartment. It fit our family of 5 great and the pictures on the site were exactly as it was - not oversold at all. The kitchen could use a few more little tools if any cooking is planned (measuring cups, spoons, etc.) but the real important things (fridge and coffee pot) were perfect!

Great accomodation in a superb location. Although in the very center of Paris it is situated on a quiet street with very moderate traffic. There is absolutely no rumor coming from the street to the bedrooms. Lots of interesting things easily reachable by foot. 5 minutes walk from the most important station in Paris (several metro lines, RER A - Disneyland, RER B - Airport Charles de Gaulle).

I was a bit afraid of renting an apt. through the internet, but felt more comfortable once I did some searching and read some reviews of Welcome2France. Six of us rented the Louvre Palais I, And Louvre Palais II for 1 week. We arranged for pick up service at the CDG airport through Welcome2France which was very convenient. Upon our arrival, welcome2France representative (Jill) met us at the apts. to give us our keys, answer questions, and show us the details of the apts. Both apts. were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed living the local color of Paris. We walked to the local patisseries, and Super Marche and enjoyed our petit dejeuners together in the apt, & we cooked several dinners rather than dining out every night. The metro was close by, but we were able to walk to the Louvre, Musee D'orsay, Notre Dame, Monmartre, PrinTemps, the Partheon, Musee de l'armee, and much more. We did take the metro to the eiffel tower, and the train to Versailles. Taxi cabs were also easy to find. Welcome2France arranged for a driver to take us back to the airport at the end of our stay. Our trip was hassle-free, and totally enjoyable!I will recommend wecome2France to my friends, and will book with them again the next time we travel to Paris.

We had a great visit in April of 2007. Everything was perfect: The arranged rides from/to the airport were always on time, the apartment itself was great, plenty of room, nicely decorated, great kitchen area, nice bathrooms, etc. The Welcome2France team were all gracious and helpful. The included broadband Internet is fantastic to have. The street is pretty quiet, especially considering how central it is, we could walk to the Louvre, or Les Halles, in minutes. I really appreciate that Welcome2France will accept a credit card for the security deposit, so there is no need to provide and accept back Euros, which is a hassle. I would definitely rent from Welcome2France again!

We had a wonderful stay Palais-Louvre 1 apartment, just opposite the Bank of France. The apartment was perfect for our needs as we have a 8 month old baby. The apartment is configured really well with a room upstairs over the lounge - far enough for her not to be disturbed by us and near enough for us to hear her. The only thing we didn't really realise (our fault for not reading properly) was the lack of bath. However, we improvised and Emily got bathed in the generously proportioned kitchen sink, much to her delight and our amusement! The apartment is charmingly decorated and in a great location - just minutes from lots of great restaurants - and was an excellent setting-off point for Paris's many sights. Being on 1st floor, the apartment was easy to get in and out of with a buggy so a good option if you have small people. Service was really good too - Taxi with babyseat was waiting for us at Gare du nord and a representative from Welcome2France (who was charming and whose name I can't recall I'm afraid)at the apartment to show us around. We also used their babysitting service which worked out very well. Welcome2France did everything they promised to do and with great courtesy and efficiency. Very nice company to deal with. Thank you Sophie and co.
