  Came to Cherokee to attend a concert at Harrahs Casino, but the stay at this cabin was the REAL treat!! Beautiful location, beautiful cabin. So incredibly CLEAN, which is a big thing for us when we travel. Staying here was so relaxing and peaceful. Two days just wasn't long enough. Enjoyed the hot tub and just sitting and reading without having to rush somewhere or to do something. Besides going into the casino for the concert and our try at the slot machines we drove towards Gatlinburg thru the park, drove into Sylva for a nice dinner and visited the great visitor center. The owners have done a wonderful job with their cabin and they have a GREAT lady, Jeannie, who over does their cleaning and over sees the cabin. Jeannie is super friendly and we enjoyed talking with her after we left on Sunday...we passed her on the way down the mountain! Check out this GEM of a retreat!!!

  We really enjoyed our stay at the Kozy Cabin. It is a short and beautiful ride to Maggie Valley (about 20 mins) , and only a few mins From Cherokee. They have everything you need in town . The hot tub is nice and fits 4 adults comfortably. 6 of us stayed in the Cabin (4 adults and 2 kids ) and we had plenty of room. We will be back this summer to stay so we can visit Santaland and Ghost Town in the sky. Also, if you have any problems at all, just text or call the owner or maintenance and they will take care of it right away. We had blown bulbs and it was taken care of in a matter of a few hours. Thanks Mrs. Gail and Mr. Sal for a beautiful vacation home.

We have a wonderful assistant that lives on the mountain near Kozy Kabin to help us with any issues that may arrise. It's great you have preplanned activities with your next visit.   Thank you so much for fitting us into your schedule at the last minute!! My husband and I had a truly delightful stay at the Kozy Kabin. The cabin was beautiful, had all the amenities we could have asked for, and was perfectly located. It is a true mountain cabin with all wood floors, panelling, and ceiling. We had all we needed in the kitchen and everything was new and very clean. The bed was really comfortable and the jacuzzi tub and double shower were a plus! We felt right at home and had a wonderfully relaxing 3 days there! At the cabin, we loved spending time in the hot tub and looking out at the Smokey Mountains. We also enjoyed sitting in front of the remote control gas fire logs! Locally, we went hiking in Cherokee to see the beautiful waterfalls there. We had a great lunch at the Filling Station in Bryson City and enjoyed the waterfalls at the Deep Creek entrance to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. We were blown away with all of the beautiful mountains and views of the river just by the road. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!! We hope to return again soon and maybe travel to Gatlinburg or Murphy.

  We arrived on Friday and stayed until Monday. Our primary purpose for the trip was to gamble at Harrah's, which was only 10 minutes from the house. We had the best time hanging out on the deck in the hot tub. The house had wonderful views and was quite accomodating to families with small children. I was especially surprised that the owners had provided baby gates when we arrived. They were useful and much appreciated. Overall, we all had a wonderful time. Thanks so much!

  The cabin was very nice and had a large deck that was great to spend time on. It does have a nice mountain view, although there are other cabins right there in the back yard. The rooms all have an unnecessarily large amount of closet space, which is good. The basement was completely unfinished, but still a nice big area to play around in, although I was a little disappointed that the basketballs for the shoot'em up game were all deflated. My only real disappointment though was that the hot tub is only big enough for 4, so our group wasn't all able to use it at the same time, and all anyone wanted to do was sit in the tub all night. When I chose the cabin I did not realize that the owner gives a 10% donation to the charity of the renter's choice. I do think that this is incredibly generous and a very good reason to rent here.

We are so sorry you were disappointed that the hot tub did not accommodate more than four people at one time. I know prior to renting we did discuss this as it did seem to be a concern of yours, and as it turned out all your friends wanted to stay in the hot tub. The other cabins near Kozy Kabin are either second homes or vacation rentals. Kozy Kabin is in a beautiful natural setting deeded community. And because of this natural setting many homeowners purchased or built cabins there. In some instances such as ours, as well as, the other two cabins, the only place to build a home on the mountain is right where the home is sitting per the engineer building inspector. But, your comments have given us ideas on how to better give our guests more privacy at their choosing when utilizing the hot tub, thus the reason we encourage reviews. Kozy Kabin was built for our retirement home and as you have probably guessed, those “unnecessarily” large but good walk- in closets were suggested by a woman…me! I love storage space and large walk-in closets! We also thank you Christopher for informing us about the deflated basketballs. It is very important that we know of issues such as these. Upon receiving your review today (Wednesday 1/9/13), not only did we go to Wal-Mart down here in Florida and found basketballs, we also immediately called our friend and cleaning person. She will be going to Wal-Mart in Sylva tomorrow (Thursday 1/10/13) to pick up some more basketballs if available, if not, we will ship them up to her. While I know it is impossible to please all our guests, nonetheless, it is very important that we do our best to accommodate our guests within our financial means.   Kozy Kabin was wonderful. It was so convenient to everything. I have always been scared about renting off the internet but the pictures were just as pretty as the cabin was. It has been kept up so nice. We had plenty of room and it was so relaxing to sit in front of the fire because it was so cold outside. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us!!!

  We really enjoyed our stay at the Kozy Kabin. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with the things we normally have to carry with us. Very peaceful area within minutes of Harrah's and downtown. We spent hours by the fire pit in the lower section of the yard. Can't wait to come back!

Additional information about rental rates

2/3 Night rental requests cannot be reserved in advance unless it is for the months of January or February. During the rest of the year the 2/3 night stays are available to those who want a last minute upcoming get-away (call/inquire within 7 days prior to anticipated stay) if the days are available.

*** October through December are for those who wish to rent for the 6/7 night special.

Fees:

• Cleaning Fee: $80 + tax
• Tax Rate 13.25%

Cancellation policy:

After reviewing rental agreement, please print and complete name, address and dates of approved rental dates and sign in 3 areas in the agreement. Next, scan as a pdf and forward back to ggualemi@hotmail.com. Also, don't forget to complete the section on the last page i.e., choosing your church or other non-profit organization. Kozy Kabin will donate 10% of our net revenue from your vacation rental stay to a non-profit of your choosing. You will receive a copy of the donation letter.
