We were more than pleased with our recent stay in Hailey, Idaho. The "log cabin " is a tastefully remodeled custom home, with all the amenities you would ever need. Riverfront access to the Big Wood river provided our family excellent fishing all week, right from the back yard. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this home to any of our family and friends.

Terrific property. My wife and another couple found this property advertised in our local athletic club magazine. We did not expect such a warm, inviting, comfortable and luxurious place nestled on the Big Wood River. This place was a 10 in all accounts. One morning we woke up to 100 head of elk in the backyard with the rumbling Big Wood River just a few feet away. Shortly after a red fox trotted through the property. Amazing. Besides the brand new ultra state of the art kitchen, the true log cabin feel, and the large comfortable bedrooms and bedding, the best part of the house is the sunken fireplace. Its a must see as my wife and our friends let time escape as the fireplace brought warmth to us all.

WONDERFUL CABIN IN THE WOODS
WONDERFUL CABIN IN THE WOODS
MY WIFE AND I HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME STAYING AT THIS BEAUTIFUL CABIN IN THE WOODS. THE FALL COLORS WERE JUST STARTING TO CHANGE. THIS LOG HOME HAS EVERYTHING: ITS QUAINT BUT YET UPDATED WITH A NEW KITCHEN AND APPLIANCES. IT WAS COZY AND COMFORTABLE, YET LARGE ENOUGH FOR A BIG GROUP. JUST STEPS TO THE BIG WOOD RIVER. THE FISHING HERE WAS GOOD AND I'M NOT A GREAT FISHERMAN. WE SAW A HEARD OF ELK WANDERING DOWN THE RIVER ONE EVENING, VERY EXCITING !. THE CABIN IS TOTALLY SECLUDED IN THE WOODS FOR LOTS OF PRIVACY, BUT IT WAS ONLY 1/4 MILE DOWN THE ROAD TO ALBERTSONS AND THE TOWN OF HAILEY, SO IT WAS ALSO VERY CONVENIANT. HAVING ACCESS TO THE GARAGE TO STORE OUR BIKES WAS ALSO A PLUS. THE BIKE TRAIL WAS AN EASY 1/2 MILE AWAY. THE TRAIL RUNS UP AND DOWN THE VALLEY AND IS 30 MILES LONG WITH VERY LITTLE CHANGE IN ALTITUDE. WE DID 12 MILES ONE DAY AND 10 MILES ANOTHER DAY. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SCENERY ALL ALONG THE TRAIL. THIS HOME WILL GO ON THE BOOKS AS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES WE HAVE EVER STAYED AND WE GIVE IT OUR HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. IF YOU WANT CHARACTER, COMFORT, AND CONVENIANCE, ALL IN A BREATHTAKING, PRIVATE SETTING IN THE FOREST NEXT TO BEAUTIFUL RIVER THEN LOOK NO FURTHER. MY WIFE AND I WILL DEFINITELY BE STAYING HERE AGAIN. BEST WISHES, KEITH & LOIS, FROM CALIFORNIA.

About: We are an active couple that enjoy downhill and nordic skiing, running, hiking, fishing, and cycling. We also enjoy just hanging out with family and friends in beautiful locales. This is a wonderful spot to do all of those activities!
This one-of-a-kind log cabin was built in 1979 by a celebrated log cabin architect. We remodeled it last year, keeping the original charm but bringing it up to modern standards. We have vacationed in the Wood River Valley for over 2 decades and have arduously searched for the right property to buy. As soon as we walked into this house, we knew this was the one we would want to come to over and over.
