My husband and I stayed here in early February and couldn't believe what a great location and guest house/apartment this is. This property is decorated beautifully in addition to being very spacious. The owner was really accommodating when it came to any needs we had. The property was EXTREMELY CLEAN and had fresh flowers and a welcome basket, not to mention many maps and "what to do in Atlanta" materials. The location is fantastic, as we were essentially in Midtown yet within a beautiful neighborhood.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

This property is decorated beautifully in addition to being very spacious. The owner is so kind and was really accommodating when it came to any needs we had. The property was EXTREMELY CLEAN and the owner had fresh flowers in every room and a welcome basket, not to mention many maps and "what to do in Atlanta" materials. The location is also fantastic, as we were essentially in Midtown and about ten minutes to anywhere in the city, yet we were in the beautiful Ansley Park/Piedmont Heights neighborhood. We will definitely return to this property.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 month stay at the Ansley Hideaway. Patty was amazing and her apartment was clean, cozy and charming. It was located in a wonderful neighborhood, and was a joy to come home to after a long day at work.

My husband, daughter and I spent a month here and were incredibly pleased with our stay. The house is in a beautiful area with nearby grocery stores (Kroger and Publix), Starbucks, Einstein Brothers, several restaurants, Piedmont Park ( a huge wonderful park) and the Botanical Gardens. Great access to downtown and the highway for other outlying areas. The apartment has its own parking area where we fit both of our cars (Honda SUV and Outback, so not mini cars) and had a separate entrance to the house. Our daughter is 1 year old, so safety was important to us- I never once felt unsafe. The apartment is on the ground level of a house and can be slightly dark at times because it's behind a wooded area and doesn't have many windows, but that was my biggest complaint. The apartment is very cozy and well kept. The owners of the house are incredibly lovely people. Every question was answered immediately and we communicated by email, text and phone. Patty even offered to watch our daughter so we could have a date night! I would definitely recommend the property to anyone interested in staying in Atlanta who would prefer to be slightly removed from the downtown hustle and bustle.

My husband and I wanted a place away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Atlanta, but still close enough to enjoy all its activities. We definitely lucked out with this rental property! My two year old son loved the nearby parks in this neighborhood, quiet streets, and the downtown Aquarium and zoo. There's a Publix, Starbuck's, and Einstein Bagel shop right down the road. My son also really enjoyed playing outside on the small patio overlooking the back yard (which was enclosed with a wooden fence). We were a bit worried about our privacy since the owner was living part time upstairs, but we had no problems at all. It was quiet and the entrance was completely separate. Also an added bonus was the fact that the property was stocked with extra toilet papers, trash bags, tide detergent, lots of plush towels, and shampoo/conditioner. The owner was extremely quick and responsive to our emails, phone calls, and text. We would definitely stay here again!

              Owner info

              Year Purchased: 1996

About the owner: Fun, middle-aged Dinks (double income, no kids), one who's an entrepreneur and one who's a marketing and technology executive (but not a nerd), decided not to relocate because of a work assignment, but instead decided to downsize/declutter and occasionally rent out the apartment that was once the entrepreneur's office and a guest suite.

              Why the Owner Chose Atlanta:
Ideal location for taking part in arts and culture in Atlanta, for attending college or pro sporting events, for shopping and dining and exploring, or for getting to know the city before relocating here. The wooded lot provides plenty of privacy and leafy greenness, and the stylish furnishings and accessories make one feel like they're a guest in someone's home.

The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Location, location, location. Arguably the best location in Atlanta for access to the best the city of Atlanta has to offer: Piedmont Park, Buckhead, Downtown, Decatur, Virginia Highlands, Arts Center, Atlanta Botanical Garden, Georgia Aquarium, Atlantic Station, Georgia Tech, Emory University, Georgia State, and amazing restaurants. Half a block to a bus stop, quick taxi ride to MARTA train stations, twenty-minute drive to Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. Owners can often accommodate special requests. Both owners have lived in Atlanta for 30 years, know a lot about the city, and can offer advice and recommendations on attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas.
