This newly remodeled townhouse is in a great location for year-round activities in the Salt Lake area. Situated half way between Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons at 'The Oaks at Wasatch', you can be at any one of four ski resorts within minutes (9-16 miles) of leaving the house. Venture a little further (27-33 miles) and you can ski Park City, The Canyons, and Deer Valley. Need equipment? Twin Peaks Rental & Repair is a few blocks away and carries some of the best rental gear available. Their tune-ups simply can't be beat. Not much further there are several other Ski and Board shops that rent as well.
Just minutes away there are a number of hiking and biking trails as well as several areas designated for rock-climbing and bouldering. The house is located adjacent to one of the best road-bike routes in the valley. There is a locally owned bike shop about a mile from the house (they rent bikes).
The Cottonwood Recreation Center is just over a mile away. With an Olympic sized ice rink open year round, indoor and outdoor pools, racquetball (and Walleyball) courts, as well as a cardio room and weight room, the whole family can enjoy themselves. The rec center offers several classes, from Spin, to Yoga and Zumba.
Bair Park (locally known as Firehouse Park) is just yards away, with a playground, pavilion, tennis courts, and a large grass area suitable for a football or soccer game. We provide balls for your use. Just across the street is a bus stop for skiers making it even easier to get to the resorts, and allows each person in your group to set their own ski schedule.
The freeway is a couple of miles away with easy access, making downtown Salt Lake City and Park City accessible within 20 to 30 minutes. Several people stay in this area during the Sundance Film Festival, Oktoberfest, conferences, various Soccer tournaments as well other sporting events. With a grocery store just a few blocks away and several restaurants and pubs within a couple of miles, this townhouse makes for easy living - even for a short-term visitor. As with any city of 1 million, the Salt Lake Valley has a lot to offer year round: from concerts and theater to shopping and recreation.

We were two couples from Hawaii on a Ski Trip to Brighton & Solitude and was lucky enough to find this beautiful, newly renovated, well cared for and fully appointed 2-bedroom, 2.5 bath home to stay in. We were impressed with the owner's red binder that had all the helpful hints and instructions regarding the house, Dish TV,Fireplace, Appliances, Etc. As a bonus it contained discount ski cards too! The house was in a great location near the Ski Slopes we wanted to visit and to shopping centers and ski rental places. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting an immaculate, comfortable and well located vacation home near ski resorts, shopping and restaurants.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

My family of four had a very relaxing time at this townhouse. We ate most of our meals from home and pack lunches for the slopes. Kitchen came with plastic containers, soaps, detergents. Bedrooms came with linens, towels, soaps, shampoos and conditioner. Breck was very accommodating about details such as nightlights and specific toys for our young kids. The beds were super comfortable. Driving to Snowbird and Alta took 15-20 minutes. Driving to the supermarket took less than 5 minutes. The airport was 20 minutes by highway. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry room were very clean. Pros: convenient to slopes, toys, free wifi, cable, very clean; two bedrooms are very far from each other Cons (if forced to name some): Upstairs master bedroom was a bit bright in the morning.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We were in town to tour local colleges & look at real estate. Was a wonderful home to come home to for our down time. Property as described by owner, home was clean, well maintained & comfortable. Quiet neighborhood in the evenings, we weren’t there during day, but I suspect quiet then also. Breck was very courteous & responded promptly to emails/questions. Highly recommend this property! Would stay here again & again if the occasion arose.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We spent a week in Cottonwood Heights skiing at all of the surrounding ski areas. It was a spectacular week. This townhouse was perfect! The location was perfect for skiing at all of the areas. In just a short 15-20 minute drive we were up in the mountain. The location is also perfect for going to the city and the grocery store is less than a mile away. The townhouse had everything that was on our wish list. Thank you Breck for putting the TV in the master bedroom and the gas grill on the deck was awesome. There really isn't anything that we needed that wasn't available. We will definitely stay there again next year on spring break!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Perfect location for anyone visiting the area for a ski trip. Well furnished and maintained townhouse, made it fell like we were at home and not on vacation. The owner was also super helpful and even forwarded us a local Groupon deal that we never would have seen otherwise. Super close to all the resorts listed in the description. I think one day it only took us 15 minutes to get to Snowbird. If we go back to the Salt Lake City area this is where we will stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at this cozy. The owners are very nice and quick to respond. Their rental is well equipped with nice appliances and furniture. They also provided fun games and books for us to enjoy. It was well kept and clean which is high on our list. The neighborhood is very quiet and the location is great for going to Alta, Solitude, etc. as well as to nearby stores like Whole Foods. We would love to rent this place again for our next trip out. Thanks Breck and Dayna for a lovely time!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Beautiful decor inside townhouse. Just a couple of things that would help townhouse. There are no lamps in Master bedroom. We thought it was very odd because we are readers at night. A toaster in kitchen would also be great so you don't have to use oven for a bagel or toast. A tv in downstairs bedroom would be nice. Other then those things we had a great time. Great location!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks for your review and your suggestions. We will certainly get a lamp for the master bedroom soon. This summer we hope to finish the basement. We might be able to re-run the cables for TV in the basement and the second bedroom at that time. I am sorry you didn't find the toaster in the cupboard

Four of us rented Breck's townhome for 4 nights. It was perfect. 6 adults would be the max in my opinion. There is sleeping for 8 but some would need to be kids. The description of the condo was accurate and the photos were too. It is a very clean, nice home. I would definitely recommend it to friends and I would stay again. It was a great value and Breck was easy to work with. Skiing is about 20-30 minutes away by car. Park City and Deer Valley a little further. The bus stop is about 3 blocks away but because of the icy conditions we were afraid to walk with ski boots on, carrying our stuff. There is a parking lot at the bus stop. I enjoyed the hill view out the dining and living room windows. It must be beautiful in the summer. Thanks.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

My son and I stayed for 7 nights. The home was very comfortable, roomy, well appointed and convenient for skiing. The home was very accurately described by the owner advertisement and photos. My son especially enjoyed the guitar. TVs/dish/internet were very nice and worked well. Beds were very comfortable. The home was spotlessly clean as were the linens and dishes. The appliances and the washer/dryer were especially nice. The garage was nice for the rental vehicle and ski storage but could also use a ski workbench. The owner, Breck was very accessible, responsive and friendly. I would recommend this home and will be staying again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2012
About the owner: We both moved to Salt Lake in 1997 and met a few months later. Neither of us planned to stay more then a couple of years. Easy access to the mountains and year round enjoyment of the outdoors, however, has made this our home. Fifteen years later it is difficult to consider living in another city. We made our home 'between the canyons' so we could be close to the mountains. It is easy to pick the kids up from school and hit the slopes or go for a hike. The diversity of the state's environs from the hot deserts of Southern Utah to the alpine tundra in the high mountains makes for wonderful weekend excursions.
Why the Owner Chose Cottonwood Heights:
Our Townhouse was completely remodeled in 2012 with new furniture throughout. The kitchen cabinets, appliances, and washer and dryer are all new as well. The 55 inch TV in the living room streams Netflix and HuluPlus movies. Several other internet apps are also available on the TV, along with the regular Cable TV channels. Wireless internet makes it easy to use any computers or internet devices you may bring. There is an acoustic guitar in the living room for your enjoyment and if you are not musically inclined, A book exchange is maintained by and for all guests. An assortment of games appropriate for all ages will help fill in any downtime.
In addition to the two queen beds in the bedrooms, there are two sofa sleepers. The kitchen is fully stocked, including a coffee maker, waffle maker, wine cooler, and crock-pot among other amenities. We even include a couple of our favorite cookbooks for you to use during your stay. Unlike most vacation homes, we have decorated our home with original artwork by local artists. This personalized touch offers an original setting which is very comfortable.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
As an owner managed property we have a vested interest in making your stay the best it can be. We have lived in the area since 1997 and have compiled a wealth of resources to make your stay the best it can be. We are currently building a website and a resource book for your reference. Of course if you need any additional assistance you are always welcome to call us.
