I just spent two relaxing months at this wonderful condo. The location; attention to personal concerns; layout: cleanliness and friendliness of everyone made this such a delightful stay. Chris is so friendly and accomodating that you instantly feel that you have arrived home ! The immaculate grounds, compounded with an overall feeling of safety make this an ideal place for people of all ages and physical abilities. The close proximity to the ocean, shopping and main roads make it both easy to find and navigate around, either by car or on foot. This was an absolute find....one that beckons me back !Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We just spent the month of January on the Big Island. The most relaxing vacation ever. The condo was beautifully decorated, the beds were really comfortable and the unit was clean, well equipped, quiet and very comfortable. We were able to walk to the shopping center, the beach and across the fairway to watch those fabulous Hawaiian sunsets. Restaurants, the movie theater and farmer's market are within a five minute drive or 15 minute walk. Chris and Jim were always available to answer questions and had a great book available detailing activities, restaurants and points of interest. We have already booked the month of January for next year. Can't wait!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Kona vacation was made perfect by staying at this restful and absolutely well equipped unit. Local owner provided the "little extras" with recommendations and great local knowledge. Walk to everything. So near shopping to pick up supplies, steps to nice pool and workout room, with the best location in the complex. We are coming back next year to this unit for sure!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About: I have been on the Big Island off and on since the 70's. We have 2 daughters and our 5 grand children here with us and are hoping our last daughter will join us in a year or two. We were in Frement Ca running our small business, Sootheze, from 1997 - 2004. We sold the business in 2004 and have retired here and are totally sold on Island life.
Why Keauhou Palena:
It's the perfect location for those folks that want to be active. Walking distance to Keauhou shopping center, just bike up the street and cruise down Alii drive 6 miles of it and then head out to the airport for a good run for you tri athletes.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Walk down to Keauhou Bay for canoe paddling, kayak rentals, boat cruises, stand-up board, and deep sea fishing.
