This one bedroom apartment is located in a 17th century building on Rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie in the Marais district. It is only a block from the Beaubourg-Pompidou Center and the Hotel de Ville, a few blocks from the Latin Quartier and the Ile Saint Louis, as well as the Place des Vosges, and the Bastille.
This part of the Marais is a cozy neighborhood. Rue Rambuteau has great produce, a wonderful cheese shop, a great Italian restaurant with takeout, a fishmonger, a butcher, produce and a few charcuteries. Rue des Archives and Rue Vieille du Temple have everything you need, from cafes, wine stores, bars and restaurants. There is also have market on Wednesday and Saturday at place de la Mairie du 4eme. It’s very close to rue des Rosiers, one of Paris’s Jewish neighborhoods with a lot of great delicatessen, bakeries and kosher food. Rue des Francs Bourgeois is full of great boutiques. There is an international bookstore on the corner; a great stop for a newspaper before sitting down at one of the numerous cafes.
The apartment is up just one flight of stairs on the 2nd floor (no elevator). The entrance is a small vestibule with water closet (toilet) on the immediate left. Ahead is the kitchen area, which includes an oven, a two burner electric stove, fridge and all the utensils needed to prepare a meal. Next is the bathroom, with a full bathtub and shower. This area is separated from the rest of the apartment double French doors. The sitting area has a sofa, two chairs, a coffee table, and an ornamental antique fireplace (non-functional). Adjacent to the seating area is the queen bed with two bedside tables and reading lamps. The apartment has a TV, a stereo and it features three large windows looking on to a quiet, landscaped courtyard.

We were delighted with our stay in this spacious and elegant studio. It had easy access being a one flight walk-up, perfectly located in the heart of the Marais with its exciting shops, cafes and restaurants. Also, the studio was quiet and peaceful; a great place to relax after a busy day! It was very clean, comfortably furnished and had an excellent large queen sized bed with lovely soft pillows and duvet. We particularly appreciated the natural light from the large windows which looked out onto a plant filled outdoor area. The marble fireplace was beautiful too. We would certainly like to stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend this studio.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

This studio flat is marvelous. It is very clean and quiet with a courtyard view, sunny, and requires climbing only one flight of stairs. It is centrally located just 3 blocks from both Notre Dame and the Centre Pompidou and yet is surrounded by unique little shops. The manager, Ken, was very professional. He met us at the door on our arrival and gave us a good tour of the flat. The bed is comfortable. The pictures are very accurate. We would definitely stay here again. Try the bakery across the street!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
