  The owner was hard to get a hold of - multiple emails and phone calls to arrange to get the keys were not returned until we were already in Amsterdam looking for the boat. Apart from a rocky start it turned out to be a great home away for us. The location is fantastic. The bed, linens and towels were high quality (though no shower curtain?!?). The space is well organized and appointed. My small bed fears from the pictures on the website went away the first night and I looked forward to my cozy bedroom retreat every evening. Lack of wifi is strange for any rental these days. Owner has very dated pc connected to internet for guest use but no wifi. We found free wifi for our phones, tablet and laptops in the area anyway. Owner quickly fixed cable tv reception when we called without missing a beat. While the couch in the living room folds out to a bed, the place would be really small for three people or two people who are not sleeping together. Perfect for a couple. A few glitches but everything else was better than expected. 5 stars.

  We've spent a wonderful weekend in the lovely houseboat located in Jordaan, in the center of Amsterdam. We could go walking to every interesting sights. The houseboat is very comfortable and full of many details that made us feel us very welcome. Unforgetable the moment we spent at the terrace eating a snack and drinking the wine provided by the owner. We enjoyed saying hello to the boats full of friendly people sailing along the channel while we watched the several swams and ducks swimming. It was a very beautiful picture that we'll keep in our minds for ever. We will for sure recomend it to our friends. And we hopefully will return someday

  We had a wonderful time in Amsterdam, only made better by our stay on the houseboat Santa Cruz. The location couldn't have been better -- set in the beautiful Jordaan neighborhood, near excellent pubs and restaurants and within walking distance to the train station. The houseboat is very well-appointed (i.e., Nespresso coffeemaker, stocked kitchen, spacious bathroom) and the bed is incredibly comfortable. Our host Lukas was also very nice and accommodating. Highly recommended! We plan to return!

  The houseboat is ideally placed , near cafes,bars,restaurants and markets. Hiring a bike was a highlight.The boat has recently been renovated.Perfect for 2 but 4 would be a test..

  Our stay on the Santa Cruz houseboat was excellent. What a great way to experience Amsterdam, especially sitting on the deck watching boats pass by! Our host was very charming and she provided all the essential ingredients to make our accommodations very comfortable. The location was perfect, just a short walk to various sites (including the Centraal Station) and the wonderful Jordaan neighborhood. The next time I visit Amsterdam, I will stay here!

  We had a fantastic week in Amsterdam during August which was made absolutely prefect with our stay on the houseboat. The location of the houseboat was wonderful and absolutely idyllic. Thanks to Reina and Mark who were perfect hosts providing us with some very good ideas, we hired bikes and travelled all over the city, even taking the ferry Maarken and the train to Weesp to visit some medieval villages. It was our first visit to Amsterdam but it won't be our last there is still so much to see and we would certainly stay on the houseboat again. We would highly recommend the houseboat as the perfect accomodation when visiting Amsterdam.

  Tasteful furnishings, clean high quality linens, super comfortable large bed and great location make Santa Cruz a step above the rest. The location is ideal for those who want to feel like a "local" when they are on holiday. Jordaan neighborhood boasts many wonderful pubs and restaurants. Cafe de Oranjerie just around the corner has delicious food. The Noordermarket is on Saturday and a must visit during your stay. We had a beautiful week in Amsterdam and highly recommend renting Houseboat Santa Cruz. A special thank you to Reina who was most kind and welcoming.

  We spent 3 fantastic days in Amsterdam made all the more fantastic by our stay at the houseboat. Reina is incredibly welcoming and the boat is fabulously comfortable - sitting with the glass doors open, watching the ducks swim by and daily canal life unfolding in front of your eyes is such a treat. Brouwersgracht is in an incredibly pretty part of town. It's residential but everything you need is right on your doorstep including shops, markets, restaurants, bars and cafes. We hired bikes from the local bike hire place, and found it a great way to discover the city - we could pretend we were locals for the day. This was our first visit to Amsterdam and we’ll definitely be back and most especially to Houseboat Santa Cruz.

  My daughter and I loved staying in the houseboat. We felt very safe and thought the location was great. This is a quiet area in a wonderful family oriented neighbourhood. Every shopping/eating need is close by. Each day we'd spend out walking, coming back to the houseboat to kick back watch the boaters putter by as well enjoy the water birds. Our beds were very comfortable nice bedding and linens,which makes a huge difference to me when staying away from home. Reina provided us with some helpful ideas as well she has stocked the kitchen with basic essentials. Our experience was terrific we loved Amsterdam and have no doubt this was in part due to staying on the houseboat. Highly recommended!

  We really spent a nice time in this typical houseboat, the surroundings were very beautiful and quiet. Our favorite thing was to have breakfast with the doors open on the canal and watch the boats or ducks passing by. The Brouwergracht canal is very authentic, and you will find many places as restaurants, shops, markets, cafés...The owner Reina, made us really comfortable, with a warm welcome, beautiful linen on the beds, fridge filled with products for the breakfast, a bottle of wine, coffee, and many little attentions to make your stay unforgettable. We are sure to come back!
