This home is lovely and the description does not do it justice. The kitchen is well equipped with any type of glassware needed and I believe there are 12 place settings available. We have rented several VRBO properties and never had one that was as clean inside as Herondipity. The R/O system was not working but we were prepared with our own water, so keep that in mind. I don't think you will find more comfortable bedding in a master as is available there. We practically lived on the screened porch and it is not just a porch, it is the size of 2 rooms and has every type of furniture a person would ask for. You can swing, rock, relax or dine on this porch. Unfortunately the porch was very dirty and we had to clean it immediately as we didn't want to track into the lovely home. This was our first trip to Edisto and what better way to spend it than in a wonderful home. We found it to be convenient to the beach and bike trails and were amazed at the quietness of the community. I am not sure who I actually dealt with when I had questions; however, they were answered promptly. We had a little issue with the TV and not knowing which remote to use (there are several for the different electronics), I emailed "someone" and the response was that I needed to contact Charlie. "They" forwarded my email to Charlie and he came while we were away, left a note and instructions. In addition, he came by later to check on us and that was very nice and we learned that he just lived down the street from the house. I hope to be able to rent this property again and I highly recommend it if you want quiet, comfort, and cleanliness.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We are delighted to hear how much enjoyed our home; we go out of our way to make sure our guests have a carefree relaxing vacation. I believe one of the many advantages we offer in our home over a rental management company is the response time of the support. We monitor emails well into the evening and also have a wonderful gentleman who lives on Edisto (whom you mentioned in your review; Charlie) who stops by to make sure our guests are enjoying their vacation. Come back soon!

We stayed at Herondipity for two weeks, ending March 17, 2013. This home is absolutely lovely, with special touches everywhere. Inside, the decor is lovely, the kitchen is fully equipped, the linens are beautiful, beds comfy. The bathrooms are spacious and very clean. There are two ironing boards, many closets and even a make-up mirror! The owners have thought of everything you may need. The furniture is bright and clean and perfect for this southern home. We loved the fireplace and the large porch that looks over the lagoon...very nice! Pictures online don't do it justice...it's really beautiful! The exterior of this home is well-maintained and the surrounding homes are very nice as well. Being on a corner and on the lagoon gives you a feeling of privacy. The landscaping is beautiful, with tall palms that shade the big porch...lovely! We tried every restaurant in Edisto...the food was really great....try them all! We took a dolphin tour, which was a good deal for 2 hours on the water with a great guide. Don't miss Botany Bay, a former plantation and nature preserve with an extraordinary beach. We explored the island, fished, crabbed(got 4 blue crabs), went to Charleston...there's alot to do in and around Edisto. And of course, we walked to the beach every day......just 394 easy steps! We will be back.......probably for a month in 2014! I've already recommended Herondipity to friends. Go...you won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
