My nephew's wedding at Hayden Lake Country Club brought us here - his Dad and his 3 sister's and spouses. We had a great time both at the wedding and here at "Sutton Place". Great accommodations that include a fantastic view. The deck is my favorite place! And the weather cooperated. High 70's & NO rain. Don & Gina - you are great hosts. Thanks - FondlyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

A beautiful home for seventeen people to enjoy the holiday and one another's company. Family members ranged in age from 7 (Happy Birthday Carter!) to 76 and came from WA, MT and Norway. The snow didn't deter the mother and daughter team training for the Seattle Marathon. They headed off a day early, full of fresh mountain air, sure to finish the marathon with best times. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, the multi-aged DVD's and the huge pub counter downstairs (where we challenge ANYONE to finish the 2000 piece puzzle-minus one piece :( in under a week!) We also loved seeing the eagle pair and spectacular view. Thanks Sutton Place! We'd love to come back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Dearest Sutton Family, Thank you for the precious and truly amazing family memories. It has been a priceless time full of wonder and joy-spent among our family amid the beauty of Sutton Place. As always you have been the utmost hosts! Providing for the every need of your guests. The week has literally flown by and now sadly we must pack up to return home and away from this beautiful place. The memories we have shared will be held in our hearts and bring us true joy in our remembrances far into the future. The laughter and tears have been a healing balm for the soul and are far more precious then diamonds and gold.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Another great week at the lake. We love it here! We caught fish, played games, watched a movie when it rained, swam, dove, rowed, paddled, walked, climbed, and rode. Mostly, we laughed and gathered more memories to cherish for a lifetime. Thanks for sharing your home with us. The memories are priceless!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My Daughter got married here 6/7/2008. It was a Beautiful Wedding. Bride and Dad came down to the dock on the tram. Everyone was on the dock where the ceremony was. Rained all day, but the rain and wind quit right before the ceremony and for the rest of the evening. Dancing, food, fun for about 30 people. What a perfect place. Everyone was so Impressed. Sutton Place then became the Bride's parents resting place. Watched movies, cruised & fished the lake, sat on the deck. Caught a 20" Pike on a Rapala lure at the north end of the lake. What a hit & fight. The cruises on the lake were incredible. What a nice dock set up. Tram was great fun. We had a fantastic time! Hope to return sometime. Can't imagine a nicer place. After wandering the Lake I think Sutton Place has by far the best view of any house on the lake.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a Fantastic Spot!!!! We had such a wonderful time watching the eagles, the boats, the sunsets (at 9 pm!) There is something here for all ages! The 22 month old twins loved to roam! Grandma & Grandpa enjoyed watching the twins roam! The views were spectacular! We did enjoy the tram!! That was a godsend for our tires legs after the Ironman!Did you find this review helpful? Thank you Sutton's for allowing us to stay at your wonderful home. We had our own place on Hayden Lake for over 30 years, so spending time on the lake brings back lots of wonderful memories, as we create new ones for the youngest generation. The house and location were great. It's obvious that you've thought of all the "little things" that make the stay even better. We hope to see you again next year.Did you find this review helpful? We have rented before and never been so thrilled with our accommodations! This beautiful home is so equipped with every little neccessity a family might need. You have thought of everything! We had our entire family, our 5 children, spouses and 5 little grand children. We had a blast. The view is breathtaking.Eating our meals on the deck is always a party. We love the Dock. The tram is apparently a fairly new addition and the little kids felt a touch of Disney Land when they rode it. Thanks for your considerate help in scheduling. We will definately be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: DON and GINA SUTTON are long time Hayden Lake and Spokane area residents. They built their dream home in 2002. It was designed especially for family reunions. With the help from guest feedback received throughout the years, they have added many improvements and features that cater to the lake experience and the ultimate family get together. They are pleased to share their dream home with you!
Why the Owner Chose Hayden:
Having grown up in Spokane and being an avid outdoors man, we fished and explored many lakes in the Pacific Northwest. We came to the conclusion that Hayden Lake is the 'jewel' of all the area lakes. It's scenic beauty is spectacular. The water is exceptionally clear and clean and the wildlife is abundant. Nestled below the tree covered hilltops, Hayden Lake offers a world class environment for the water sport enthusiast. Early mornings you will find the lake as smooth as glass with nary a boat in sight, even in the middle of summer. The fishery is incredible producing large trout, pike and bass as well the smaller perch and crappie.(see our web site for photos). Bald eagles abound and can be seen perched around the lake searching for their next meal. With so many lakes in the area and especially with Coeur d'Alene Lake attracting a large number of boats and watercraft, Hayden Lake is left relatively untouched.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our location is peaceful and serene. You can sleep with the windows open and only hear the occasional cricket or owl. We have a southwest exposure which affords the most spectacular sunsets and the vantage from our dining room and deck include a 270 degree view of the lake.
The house is designed for entertaining. Our kids like having their own space downstairs which
includes the rec room, pool table, foosball table, wide screen tv and stereo system, a separate video room for their gaming systems and a ping pong table outside on the covered patio. With all that and the lake we only see them at meal time!
We enjoy being upstairs which has a Great Room/Kitchen combination, a large dining room table,
wide screen plazma HD TV, a large movie selection, and a 1000 sq. ft. deck with 2 BBQ's.
