  The condos location is the only reason I gave one star, other than that it would have none. The condo was disgusting. To name a few it smelled AWFUL (so bad I went and bought a candel!), the mattress was covered in plastic, and the carpet was nasty! Not luxury was a serious under statement. This place needs a complete make over. You couldn't pay me to stay there again.

  Owner response: We are taking your compliant into serious consideration, the mattress is covered by a mattress cover for sanitary reasons, the owner was not notified until now about a bad smell in condo, she would of sent house keeper over immediately to clear smell up, carpets were recently shampooed by professional carpet cleaning company. If owner had been notified about any of the problems stated she would of happily tried to get these corrected, the owner list her phone number in all email communications between her and guest and would like to know immediately if guest is not satisfied or if there is a problem.

  We had such a great time here at the Islander. Linda was an excellent person to rent from. She was very clear in what to expect. It was the perfect size condo for what we were looking for. It was very clean and we felt very safe staying here. It was my husband, myself and our 2 year old. I definitely recommend this property for anyone with our same size family. When we got there, we thought we were experiencing problems with the refrigerator. We contacted Linda and she contacted a repairman immediately. We ended up realizing we didn't need the repairman, but her fast response was very much appreciated.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

  Last week some girlfriends & I went to Galveston to spend the weekend. This condo was great for the money we spent. It isn't very big, but then again you get what you pay for. The room was clean and well put together. The location was amazing, it's right on the beach and all you have to do is walk across a small wooden bridge & you're right on the beach! As well it's a pretty private beach. We were on the beach Friday & Saturday night and it was really quiet. It's on the 6th floor and has a really great balcony. The woman we rented from wasn't exactly the friendliest person, and got annoyed when we called her more than once. She seemed to be irritated that we called & asked questions... But we ended up having such an amazing time we could overlook that :) I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to save money but still have a great time!

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
