A beautiful property in the peaceful Selle Valley only five miles from Sandpoint on paved roads. 'The Annex' is separate from the main house and has two bedrooms with full size beds and a futon queen couch upstairs in the loft. The loft is big enough to throw down at least four sleeping bags or set a card table and chairs for games. There is a fully equipped kitchen, Wi Fi, T.V. and a nice DVD library. Only 5 miles from City Beach on Pend Oreille Lake 5 miles from the Schweitzer Mountain ski shuttle, 5 miles from the Idaho Club golf course, 45 minutes from the Silverwood theme park, and 45 minutes from Canada. We have a full view of Schweitzer mountain and the farms that surround us.
We have one of the best sledding hills in Bonner County on the property. There is great mountain biking close by and wonderful road biking all through the Selle Valley.

The group of 8 from Seattle had a blast during our week in Sandpoint. We skied at Schweitzer and stayed at this lovely anex just minutes away from town and the mountain. The hosts provided us with a grill, fire pit and even a homemade loaf of bread!! It was a charming place and a perfect escape from the hustle of Seattle.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

The Farm annex was such a pleasure to stay at. Just down the hill from Schweitzer, it provided an excellent location to ski during the day and see Sandpoint at night. I highly recommend the location. The owners were wonderful and nice as you could ask for, making sure we were comfortable and set for a great weekend. We grilled dinner, made breakfast (all the kitchenware and utensils are provided) and had a genuinely enjoyable time. The price is unbeatable, and we'll look to stay here again next year!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

What a great experience! We arrived to freshly baked bread and canned preserves and our stay only improved from there. We had seven people in our crew (2 in each bedroom, and 3 in the loft), and had just enough room to all cook and eat together before crashing out for the night. The hang out space was cozy. One night, the hosts were even kind enough to bring over a fire pit and some chairs so that we could enjoy the starry night and stay warm. Distance to the mountain was easy: just a few minutes to the turnoff where you start winding your way up. Skiing was great. I would highly recommend staying here.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

About: Nelson is full time Cowboy artist (www.nelsonboreart.com) and I am a mom, grandma and reader. We love to travel. We just returned from spending a year in China and lived in New York City for three years, but our heart is here in Sandpoint. Our personal blog states 'we spend our time thinking of new ways to lure our children and grandchildren to The Farm'.
Why Sandpoint:
The 'Annex' as we call the apartment was built three years ago to house children and guests during the summer months. It was built for people I love and with them in mind. We have been on the The Farm for 22 years. Like so many others we drove across the Long Bridge and fell in love with Sandpoint. Sandpoint offered the life style we wanted to raise our 7 children in and this property offered the best of the country but is close to the town and all that the area offers.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Our little farm sits on 18 acres, including two creeks, a pond, a barn, art studio, the Annex and fabulous views of Schweitzer ski resort and the horse ranches next door. The Annex is located on the other side of Nelson's art studio. Beautiful Pend Oreille Lake is just minutes from our house.
