I cannot say enough good things about our time at the house. It was absolutely wonderful! Such a cozy and great spot. We were able to use the fire place, cook a great meal, and just relax and enjoy where we were. Also, skiing was unreal this past weekend - So warm and perfect conditions!! Everyone was a pleasure to work with!! It was such a great experience and I look forward to working with them again soon!!

What a great getaway! With 3 floors to the house, there was plenty of room for everyone to sneak those awesome vacation solo moments and then come back together. The location was ideal. Some of us went skiing, some hiking and others just relaxed the whole time! Gathering around at the end of the day to make dinner with the wood stove going was the highlight. We will be back soon...hopefully for longer.

Streeter Pond is the perfect setting for a quiet, romantic weekend away. My boyfriend and I took full advantage of the living room's wood burning stove, loved the large open kitchen and you can't beat the gorgeous lake views. The house was clean, spacious, set away from the street and just a short drive to many ski mountains, antique shoppes and the absolutely fantastic Polly's Pancake Parlor (DO visit. Call ahead service is available, but know it is closed during the winter.) We loved working with the owners as they were very communicative and accommodating and look forward to a return visit soon.

My friends and I had a great time staying here. We found the Agent and the Owners WONDERFUL to deal with. Very friendly, responsive, and accomodating. The place was very clean and organized and had most everything we needed to make our stay comfortable- including wood, which many places make you pay additional for; boats, and life preservers in the garage; and plenty of cookware. The place was very clean, including bedding, towels, etc. A previous review made it sound well worn, but I my friends and I found it very comfortable, clean, organized, and cozy. No isues with presentation at all. We felt right at home the minute we arrived. Another review indicated the window treatments were not hung properly... no issues at all with them. Just right to affford privacty while also affording a wonderful view. The drapes were pooled.... which is a design technique, which allows them to lay on the floor a bit. Not improperly hung at all when I rented the place. I have stayed in many homes, and do not in any way expect perfection... its someone's home and things do happen, like sticking doors, Some did, but frankly.. who cares? It is a mountain NH area and dampness is expected, just like the misquitoes.... comes with the territory.. I do not think a few doors sticking is a big deal, but that is me. The views from the home were very good- good enough for us to keep track of a couple of bald eagles every day'; the loons; and beavers. We got some great photos for sure. Highly recommend to those easy going folks looking for a warm and welcoming place to hang your hat...

Experience with owner & rental agent good. Property and furnishings are described as new in listing and clearly are more than several years old and well used further there were not enough bath linens and bedding for the number of occupants and there are many cosmetic issues ( chipped paint, ill fitting window treatments, missing screens). The listing and conversations with the owner give impression of easy access to pond for boating & swimming but in fact the the easement across the road is wooded and overgrown and access to the water requires trespassing on a neighbors property or transporting the watercraft +1/4 mile to a public boat launch. Further, there is no swimming allowed at the boat launch as posted by the state. More upsetting is that that the house was not especially well cleaned with food and game pieces left in the cushions of the furniture and there had clearly been a recent water event on the ground level which was not disclosed to us causing the house and especially the gameroom to feel damp and smell musty, the remains of wet damaged carpet was left in the attached garage along with piles of paint and spray cans and other debris. There is/was no renters information manual or guide which in my experience is typical, There was no fire extinguisher in evidence. Many of the doors were swollen and would not shut properly due to the high humidity in the house and the screen door onto the deck did not fit properly or seal tightly, One of the futon beds, which we needed for the size of our group had a broken frame so was unusable, etc., etc. Further, the quoted cost per night was $16 higher than the maximum range in the listing and the listing did not disclose the additional cost of a bed tax and a mandatory fee for renters insurance. Again, the owner and his agent were helpful and responsive when contacted about some of the deficiencies i.e. acquiring and delivering watercraft and life preservers that were missing at check-in, but had all of the issues noted been disclosed and the property accurately described we likely would have chosen another house even though the location was exactly what we wanted.
