Our home provides 2 private bedrooms, each with it's own bath. The kitchen is fully stocked with gas range, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and eat in breakfast nook. Enjoy the screened in back porch or stretch out on the newly added rear patio with 11' umbrella, hammock, 4 swivel rockers, 2 tables, gas grill, fire chimney and 4 additional seats.
The new flat screen tv, dvd with cable will entertain you in one of 2 interior living areas which are comfortably arranged for your special visit. Wireless internet is also available for your convenience.

I spent three days at Dory Place with some friends for a wedding weekend and absolutely loved our experience. Even before we arrived, we received helpful instructions and travel information from the home owners that made it easy to find the house. The home is beautifully appointed, comfortable and in walking distance from the heart of downtown filled with cute antique stores and restaurants. We had an amazing time and loved every minute in Dory Place! I highly recommend it.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

As soon as we walked through the door of Dory Place, we knew we had made a great VRBO decision. We stayed at this cottage for the month of December 2012 and can’t say enough good things about it. Very (very) nicely decorated, comfy furniture, cozy TV/reading-room, private back yard with propane grill and a room-4-2 hammock to relax in after a hard day of doing zip/zero/nada. We had breakfast and dinner on the screened in porch most days and it’s so well equipped all you have to do when you arrive is unpack and start relaxing. This property is in one of the best historic areas in town and it’s just a short walk downtown for an ice cream cone fix (we counted five ice cream shops, one right next to the cupcake shop) or to sit by the lake. Quaint downtown has great shopping and restaurants and the Xmas light display at the marina was also great and can be seen by walking or taking a horse driven carriage ride. Our hosts were very accommodating and very accessible and it was obvious they had put a lot of time, thought, and effort into making their guests’ stay a truly memorable get-a-way. We Minnesotans really enjoyed our stay in Mount Dora and especially our time at Dory Place. My wife and I highly recommend this rental.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Very quaint, clean, comfortable home; outside amenties were great; location to downtown area is great; quiet. Home decorated to capture the Mount Dora culture; owners accomodating and called the day before to see if we needed anything we needed additional from them; Nice touch! We will definitely be back next year.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.
