  We rented the Church House in Old Homosassa and found it to be a great experience. The home is supplied with everything one needs to live for an extended stay, we were there for 3 month this past winter. The kitchen is excellent for cooking and entertaining guests. In previous years we had not been able to have our family because of space. This time our extended family and friends were able to visit and stay in a very comfortable home that has great accommodations for all. Also the master is separate from the main house which makes for great privacy when we had guests. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and clean with linens and towels supplied. We loved that we could walk so many places to sit and relax by the water, see the fishing guides come in with the catch of the day, and people watch. Old Homosassa is a great, friendly community and we would recommend the home and community highly. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. If there was an issue with something in the home it was quickly resolved, but there wasn't anything major as it is all new. We were glad to find a nice furnished and clean place to stay for the winter and glad that our dog was welcome. We appreciate all that the owner provided and that she was very interested that we enjoyed the home and had a wonderful time. Thanks to her for her friendliness, and all that she provided to make it a great stay. Also the listing description and photos were accurate and reflect the rental's appearance and amenities. I would recommend this home to friends and relatives, it's great for big families. PS: Don't forget to visit the friendly neighborhood businesses and talented artists.

  The Church House accommodated six adults with ease. The house is well-maintained with ample room to comfortably serve our needs. We enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen (and the savings because we didn't have to eat out every meal) and the spacious living room. The house is also well-located -- a few miles from Suncoast Blvd. (the main thoroughfare to the nearby towns), a short walk to restaurants and the water, near hiking and an awesome Wildlife Preserve, etc. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and made the entire transaction easy. I would highly recommend staying here and will do so again if I have another occasion to visit Homosassa.

  My husband and I rented this unique, newly rennovated house over the Thanksgiving holiday break this year and our family flew in from NJ or drove from other parts of FL and TN to meet us here. It was such a nice place to meet up with family and reconnect. We were lucky because this place is amazing! The best part was that it was really CLEAN and cozy. The master bedroom area is spacious and private. The owners had thought of everything! Comfortable beds, plenty of sheets and blankets, a fully stocked kitchen pot/pan/utensil situation (we were able to do our big Thanksgiving meal with no trouble, plus bake a ton of cookies because there were cookie sheets, mixing bowls, etc). There are numerous DVDs to watch, wifi, board games, different areas/ tvs so football fans and children can be happy at the same time... We had plenty of room, 9 people slept here and there was a pull out and roll out cots that we didn't even need to use! The owners graciously let us use their dock at their house which is in walking distance so we had a place to keep our boat in the water so fishing at any time was easy. The Monkey Bar at the end of the street provided a great place to hang out as a family and order some drinks and watch the boats float down the river at the end of the day. Plus, there is a grill and back porch area that is available, too! The best part was they let us bring our dogs, which, if you are a pet owner, you know that it just isn't a family get away without your fur children! There are many beautiful areas to walk with your dog around here so that was a treat, too. It was so nice to simply relax and reconnect with our family here!

  This is a great location walking distance to the local restaurants. It is a great place, and beautifully remodled.
