What a beautiful lakefront hideaway in the North Carolina mountains! The views have to be the best on Lake Santeetlah! The lake is pristine and beautiful and provided great fishing and canoeing with much privacy. We really loved the serenity of the location. The property had a lot of indoor and outdoor space to spread out and enjoy. The house was well maintained and extremely comfortable and had a huge well outfitted kitchen. We really felt like the owners simply opened the doors to their home. This was our first visit and are making plans to return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

About the owner: Originally from Tennessee and New York, we love art, architecture and the outdoors. We have traveled to many countries but Lake Santeetlah is one of the most beautiful places we know. We love to share our favorite spot with family, friends and people who appreciate beauty and nature.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Santeetlah:
I have been coming to Western NC all my life and grew up with a lake house on Lake Ocoee, TN. When we discovered Lake Santeetlah, boated and skiied in the deep coves, hiked in the protected forests and paddled nearby rivers, we knew this was a place to come back to over and over. When we saw the million dollar views from this house and saw how well built, private and comfortable it is, we were sold! At 2000 ft elevation, pristine Lake Santeetlah is 2,800 acres and an only 20% of its 80 miles of shoreline can ever be developed. The lake levels are stable and the lake only drops 10 feet, even in the winter.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We own over 200 ft of shoreline on the main body of the lake and have have a great waterfront for swimming, fishing,or boating. House is great for all ages, bedrooms are spread out for privacy. Includes two living rooms for entertaining ,well-equipped kitchen, separate dining room for 12, outdoor cooking and dining, wood burning fireplace, lots of decks and porches. Game room with pool table, covered porch with large hot tub. Safe and scenic places to walk or jog. Canoe, kayaks and bicycles are toys we like to share.
