Great location, we loved the private association lake beach and activities - very swimmable lake, paddleboats, ping pong, shuffleboard. The lake staff organized a low key sand sculpture contest, our family came in second. There were also a lot of attractions close by to visit. We visited Columbia and Moaning Cavern Park, where we also went ziplining. The house was very clean and well furnished, my children enjoyed having their own room on the lower level. The site is a steepish hill, which might not be great for very small children. The deck is a peaceful place to eat and drink, with nature all around! We will definitely be back. Owners were easy to deal with.

Relaxing Fun-filled Mountain Get-a-way
Relaxing Fun-filled Mountain Get-a-way
The cabin was a perfect fit for a recent "girls get-a-way" (I have also rented the cabin in the past with my two teenage sons). While the cabin is not fancy, it is homey, well equipped and has a beautiful deck, which is where we spent most of our time while in the house. Our days were spent hiking around Lamont Pines and Calaveras Big Trees and visiting Sonora and Murphy. The club house at the pond is charming. The many activities offered in the summer provide fun for all ages. We used the paddle boats, kayaks, inter-tubes and played numerous games of shuffle board and ping-pong! Stores and cute restaurants are nearby in the town of Arnold. The property has stairs and a steep driveway so it seems best for families with older children and active adults. Both times I have left the cabin with fond memories and a tinge of regret to be leaving a slice of mountain paradise.

Manager response: Nice to have you back and so glad you enjoyed your visit.
Stayed here for five days with four childhood friends. It was perfect. We spent most of the time enjoying the large front deck. Along with the very comfortable living room, dining area, and kitchen upstairs there are two nice bedrooms each with very comfortable queen size beds and a full bath with washer and dryer. Downstairs is perfect for children or teens. There are 3 single beds and a half bath. The cabin was very well equipped. When not sitting out on the deck, we enjoyed the amenities at the development's lake. We checked out kayaks, and peddle boats and had lots of laughs playing ping pong and shuffle board. They even had a snack bar (we did not use since we packed our own munchies). The area was great for hiking. We enjoyed evening walks in the development and enjoyed hiking in the Calaveras Big trees which was an easy drive to get to. I have already reserved the cabin for a return trip.
