We have just returned after having such a lovely time at the apartment of Jaqui and Terry. Jacqui was very efficient when dealing with our initial enquiry and could not have been more helpful. The apartment is well located and beautifully furnished and decorated with more than an ample supply of kitchen crockery and utensils. The apartment block itself was beautifully kept. Our apartment was clean on arrival when we were welcomed by Rui who was also very helpful. Two lovely big balconies for sunbathing and barbeque available as well. The apartment was lovely and spacious and was equipped with everything a holiday maker would require. Thank you to Jacqui and Terry for the experience of staying in such a lovely place. I would certainly return and could recommend this apartment to anyone.Owner response: Dolores We are very pleased that you had such a wonderf holiday in beautiful Lagos and thank you for choosing our apartment, it was a pleasure having you and your family stay. We much appreciate the time you have taken to write your comments, perhaps sometime in the future we will have the pleasure of welcoming you again. Jacqui and Terry

(In case the rating is less than 5 stars, we intended to click on 5 out of 5 but our computer was not showing the star system clearly so we guessed.) We stayed at this apartment for two weeks and loved it. The apartment was in an excellent building, and it had everything except a clothes dryer, but the line on the porch worked OK. The king mattress was the best. We particularly appreciated the fitness center down two flights, which also had a pool and jacuzzi. One of the exercise machines was a Concept II rowing machine, the same one we have at home, so it was like an old friend. The apartment was pretty and very comfortable, beautiful paintings. Jacqui gave us very good advice on grocery shopping and restaurants. Don't miss No Patio, with an English menu of pies and puddings, and the one just down the hill, Borsalino, has great Italian food. The manager, Rui, and his wife were friendly and efficient and spoke good English. Finally, Lagos is the best town in the Algarve and a good jumping off place for day trips to places like Sagres. All in all, this place is hard to beat.Owner response: Thank you William and Sylvie for your review. We are very pleased that you had a good time in Lagos and perhaps some day in the future we may hear from you again. Good Luck on your travels and hope all goes to plan for you. Jacqui

Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/7

Our family spent a week in Jacqui and Terry's apartment April 2011. This apt. is absolutely fantastic - spacious and clean and just as described on web site It catered for and excelled in all our needs..We found good restaurants, great hairdressers and relaxing spa treatments close by! If you prefer to cook in then you are spoilt for choice as there are at least two brilliant supermarkets, on your door step, to choose from and at great value. The beach is a pleasant 15 min walk away, which provided us with our daily source of exercise while lapping up the sunshine!! Two floors down from apt there is"top of the range" pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and fitness suite, Our family loved using these facilities first thing in the morning and again in the evening. For all you golf lovers this area is the place for you as there are some excellent courses nearby. The bus and train stations are 10 min walk away. We used the train one day to visit Portamao and its only a short 15 min trip. Would recommend a visit to this town - good selection of shops! Our family couldnt recommend this apt highly enough and hope to return for another stay in the not too distant future!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We spent Xmas 2010 at Jacqui and Terry's apartment and had a lovely time. The apartment was spacious and well laid out, with all the facilities you would need. There is also the added bonus of the indoor pool, fitness suite, sauna etc, that was well used by my son and his family. There is a lovely master bedroom suite, plus two further bedrooms, with all the fittings and fixtures being of very good quality. (we were particularly impressed with the memory foam mattresses, and woke each morning without any aches and pains) It is a 5 to 10 minute stroll to the marina and town centre, plus there are a couple of supermarkets close by. Rui was on hand to answer any questions, address any issues etc, and was there to meet us as agreed on arrival. All in all it made a great holiday.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Hello Jacqui, Just a quick line to how much we enjoyed staying at your apartment in Lagos, which we thought was excellent and could not of wanted for more as everything that we needed was there. The location was ideal and liked being able to wander down to the Marina and Town in the evenings. We all had a lovely time and Rue looked after us on our arrival and whilst we were there. Thanks again for helping to make a holiday to remember. Best Wishes Martin & CathyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

we stayed in your lovely apartment Aug. 29th – Sept. 5th and had the most wonderful time. Accommodations were just as described! The apartment is in a great location and right next to the supermarket as well as cafes (Fresco was by far our favourite place for brunch). Not to mention that the rooms were super comfortable and we all had the best sleep for the entire week. We loved the spacious balcony and the grill, and we spent several very cozy evenings there with Super Bock for the guys and wine for the girls. The beaches are to die for and so close to the building! Also, Rui was very caring and did a great job in answering all of our questions. Thank you again for all of your help and for helping to make our stay in Lagos such a memorable one.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind comments, we really appreciate your feedback and are delighted you had such a good time in Lagos, many thanks again for renting our apt. Kindest Regards Jacqui and Terry

What a lovely appartment and a credit to Jacqui and Terry, it was obvious that it had been well looked after and maintained and we could not have wanted for more. It was ideally located for everything and had grocery shopping opposite and another store just a couple of minutes walk down the road. The Marina was only 10 minutes walk away and we enjoyed drinking coffee sitting at one of the quayside cafes in morning watching the fishing and excursion boats coming and going. Just a short walk on from the Marina was the main beach that stretched for miles. There were a couple of nice beach reataurants there which were ideal for a drink and a snack if you wanted to get out of the midday sun. We also took the car out for trips to some of the nearby towns and also across to Cape St. Vincent. We booked on a family Sailing and BBQ trip where we had the chance to visit the grottos before sailing along the coast which we all enjoyed. There was also a trip to Aqualand Water Park which at the end of August was still quite busy but I can imagine the queues would be a lot longer in the peak summer months. In the evenings we walked into town where there was always plenty to see. The choice of restaurants was endless and there was something to suit every taste and if you enjoy fish it could not have been better. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this appartment and Lagos to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in a family friendly location. Thanks again for helping to make a holiday to remember.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your comments, it really is great to hear such praise for our apt. we put a lot of effort and hardwork into ensuring our guests receive the highest standard possible and your feedback makes it all so worthwhile. Hopefully in the future we will welcome you back, wishing you and your family best wishes. Jacqui and Terry.

We arrived in Lagos by train having decided to have a no car holiday for the first time ever. The train journey is to be recommended. We were greeted at the train station by the host's agent who took us to the apartment. This property completely lived up to our expectations. Well furnished, clean, spacious and completely ready to move into for a holiday. It is about a mile from the main beach and a bit less to the old town. Both distances were manageable although further than we had expected. The beach and town were a delight although by the second week we had found many closer local cafes and restaurants so were not really using the old town, preferring the less touristy spots close to the apartment. We were all pleasantly surprised that Lagos was not over busy despite being August. Water sports galore and the opportunity to see dolphins, lots of eateries, street entertainment, holiday shopping and friendly people very proud of their country. This has to be one of the best seaside locations for families of all ages - no noise at night, but plenty to do all day. Food at very reasonable prices and an amazing variety. The apartment pool provided a welcome break from the summer sun which averaged 40 degrees for our stay, although it was smaller than we expected so not really for playing in with teenagers. We would definitely return to Lagos, we'd be happy to go car-less again and this apartment with an indoor pool could well be a contender!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car.
Owner response: We are very pleased that you had such a wonderful time in Lagos, like you we love this old unspoilt Portugeese town and the beautiful beaches. We would be most happy to welcome you back to our apt. should you decide to revisit Lagos. Thank you for your comments. Jacqui and Terry

Usually I feel slightly let down by the 'over sell' of an apartment or new location but not this time ...we had a ball (from the 4yr to the 82yrs old granny) ... all worked out well. From the travel arrangements (Faro is very easy to navigate from), to the car rental, ease & comfort of the apartment and attractiveness of the whole location/destination it was all top drawer. Some brief thoughts:- 1. Emerse yourself in the foods (especially fish) of the town/region - buy in the markets, eat in the best values restaurants I have come across anywhere in Europe bar none etc 2. Sample the many different beaches within an hours drive (go to the west coast if you can). Get out and about, don't just stay around Lagos. Although not overdeveloped there is much to do to satisfy all tastes. 3. Rui is excellent - he is your local trouble shooter / contact person. 4. Learn a few words of Portuguese - you will generate goodwill! 5. Buy a good map and guidebook in advance of your travel for the Algarve not Portugal it will save you time and money. 6. The apartment will not disappoint. There is obvious 'pride' in the way it is presented to the visitor ... a rare find indeed! Good Luck Alan & Family (Ireland)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Me and 5 other friends stayed at Jacqui and Terrys lovely apartment in June 2010. The apartment itself was absolutely amazing it had everything you could want and more. The health suite especially was a nice to have as our first couple of days in Lagos were not the best weather wise. So it was nice to make full use of the pool and sauna facilities when it wasn't suitable to go to the beach. Lagos is a lovely place to stay if you are looking for a beach holiday or a holiday packed with activities there is no better place. Whilst there our group of 6 went to see dolphins, the caves along the coastline, did a crash course in surfing for beginners and also went kayaking. Everything was very resonably priced and there are two supermarkets very close to the apartment Lidl and another one. The other one we found was the better one to go to. Plus everything you need is in walking distance including a wide selection of restaurants and bars. There are several beaches all are very nice and not too far, it is definately worth venturing out to find one you like. Also, Rui the contact for the apartment was very helpful and friendly, he lives close to the apartment and is only a phone call away if you ever need anything. We had a fantastic time at Edifico da nora and I cannot stress enough how great the apartment and its location is, I would definately go back. Thank you Jacqui and Terry for letting us stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Three friends, we enjoyed 6 wonderful days in the luxury of this apartment. Well equipped, clean, cosy and central enough to allow for a comfortable walk to Lagos Town Centre. Two supermarkets within 200 yards. Very good food within walking distance.. turn right, right, and left and a little gem awaits you with reasonably priced food and drink. Eat indoors or out. Town centre too is full of restaurants, especially on the hillside behind the post office. Fish is fantastic and the cost of a good meal is remarkably moderate. Bus station is on your way to town. Taxis, if you really need one, are plentiful. Rui looks after airport transfers. Looking forward to returning.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The agent met us promptly at the airport and delivered us safely to the apartment which we found to be very comfortable. Although not in the heart of old Lagos our holiday home proved to be convenient for local shops and a short walk took us into the town centre and to the beach. We discovered a variety of restaurants and enjoyed wonderful meals in several. The fish is extremely fresh and was cooked to perfection! The local wines seemed to be well received by all of my party and we slept extremely well at night! We were fortunate with the weather because although spring was late the sun managed to break through for us. The apartment has balconies which enabled us to make the most of the good weather when we were not sitting on the beach or walking by the sea. Thank you to the owners for sharing their well equipped home with us!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at this apartment at Christmas ('09) with our 5 year old daughter, for 1 week and were very pleased with our choice. It is very cleaned and well maintained - the agent showed us around the building on arrival and was contactable for any problems. It is in a good location with lots of shops and cafes nearby with the town centre being a 10 minute stroll away. We would definitely rent this apartment again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Lagos has that busy yet relaxed feeling that adds magic to a sun holiday. Stroll from the mix of yachts and fishing boats in the Marina and continue to soak up the sun along the wide and safe boardwalk which stretches along the length of the Resort that is Lagos. Wander through the narrowing streets of the old town. Have a coffee to live music in the square. Shop at your leisure day and night. And as night begins to fall, it's time to size up the menus. You'll be spoiled for choice! Enjoy the outdoor warmth and a local wine. And it's a comfortable walk back to Jackie and Terry's Apartment. If you have a glass too many, the taxi rank is right beside you. Day or night you will not be rushing out of Edificio da Nora. It's just so comfortable, so luxurious, so homely. With three large bedrooms and two bathrooms, you are guaranteed to sleep well and rise refreshed for breakfast in the kitchen/diner. This is so well equipped that you may be tempted to cook more often than planned, especially with two supermarkets (Lidl is opposite the front door) right beside you and a fresh-fish market on the sea-front. We were amazed at the size of the two separate balconies, or should I say sun-traps. One is off the massive Livingroom/Diningroom; the other off the Master Bedroom. Both have tables, chairs and loungers. (Don't forget the sun-cream!) If you can drag yourself away from all this comfort, you can skip down to the 3rd Floor and enjoy a heated pool, a full gym, a sauna or turkish steamroom. Very private. And you can work off any pains or aches in the jacuzzi. As you can see, we thoroughly enjoyed our week's holiday in this superb apartment. It was mid-October and in the high twenties most of the time, so the individually controlled air-conditioned rooms were a bonus. With the weather to enjoy at any time in Lagos, this is the perfect Apartment in any month. We look forward to returning and there's no doubt that we will need to book a gem like this early. Thanks Jackie and Terry for everything, including arranging transport from and to the Airport at Faro.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Patsy and Anne for your comments, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Lagos and look forward to your return to our apartment where a warm welcome awaits you. .

This is a really beautiful apartment, modern, spacious and very well located within the gorgeous town of Lagos. We have returned twice now as we enjoyed the luxury of the apartment and the spa facilities and relaxed lifestyle Lagos enjoys. The apartment is home from home, great for self catering especially with children. We enjoy great walks along the prom, lazy coffees & ice creams and spend time on the fantastic beaches which keeps the children entertained for hours - the saturday morning market is also well worth a visit, with great local food and flowers for sale. Looking forward to returning again soon!!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
