With easy access from Tampa or Sarasota airports, this condo is located on a slender spit of land at the south end of this barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico. This unique setting has direct frontage on the Sarasota Bay to the east, and is 30 steps from the Gulf of Mexico beaches to the west. The beaches are never crowded, because the island allows no high rise buildings. You can walk for 7 unobstructed miles along the sandy beaches, or collect a wide variety of shells.
Enjoy expansive views of the water from your living room or bedroom. Or relax and enjoy the sunset from your lanai. A private dock provides a space for fishing in the Sarasota Bay, or docking a boat for deep water fishing excursions. The Gulf of Mexico is at your front door, with great swimming, wide sandy beaches, shells, children's playgrounds, and beautiful sunsets. The Sarasota Bay is at your back door, with a pool and picnic spot overlooking the water. There are 2 golf courses on the island, and 45 more courses within minutes. Bring your boat, fishing and snorkeling gear, and golf clubs, because this island has it all. Beach towels, chairs, and children's sand toys are provided.
The town of Bradenton Beach, on the island, offers prize winning restaurants. grocery shopping, and many fine boutiques and beach shops. There is also a free trolley car that travels the length of the island. Sarasota, the cultural capital of Florida, is a 20 minute drive away, offering world class musical, dance, and theatre performances. Tampa is a beautiful 50 minute drive over bridges and along the Tampa Bay.

Why the Owner Chose Bradenton Beach
We chose Anna Maria Island because the beaches are beautiful, and the island does not allow high rise buildings. This means that the beaches are not crowded, and we can walk for seven uninterrupted miles along the Gulf. The stretch of land where our condo is located is a narrow isthmus with the Sarasota Bay on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other, for beautiful water views, boating and swimming. We love the atmosphere of "Old Florida" we have found on the island.

Anna Maria Island is a great place for children. We bought our condo so that we would have a comfortable place to take our children for vacation. We can fish off the boat dock. Docking our boat at our back door, with easy access to the inter-coastal waterway, is heavenly. The children love collecting shells on the beach, and the sand on the island beach is beautiful.
