The 'La Te Da' house is a two story key west style home located directly on the Gulf of Mexico. The backyard is a private beach, you are simply foot steps away from beautiful turquoise water and sandy beach. We are next to Boca Grande, which is known for the world famous tarpon fishing tournaments. Also, a great beach for shell and shark tooth collectors!
Our home has 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and complete laundry room located inside the house. Accomodations for up to 8, (2 king size beds, with memory foam topper, 1 queen size bed and 1 bunk bed)
All bed linens and bath/beach towels are supplied for your convenience. There is a fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, flat top stove, oven, reverse osmosis water purifier, cooking utensils, blender, toaster, etc..
This home has a lovely screened in porch with a big table that seats 6 outside with an incredible breeze and beautiful views of the gulf. There is a propane barbeque grill. Perfect for any and every meal!
The master bedroom upstairs has a glass sliding door that opens up to another balcony with more fabulous views of the private beach. Also great for looking at stars! All bedrooms have hd flat screen tv's and for the sport fanatic, we have the NFL Sunday Ticket! The living room has a DVR so you can record your favorite programs while at the beach.
The house is a non smoking environment and we ask that you please smoke outside. We do allow pets but they must be approved prior to rental. There is a dock to dock your boat or you can use the water taxi to have access to the island.
All you need is groceries, bathing suit, and you're ready to have a great vacation!
We recently purchased this home so we are doing some updates (some fresh paint and fun stuff) Pictures of the home will be available as we finish rooms.. House will be available Nov 1, 2012. We are already taking bookings!

Great house! You will not be disappointed, great place to spend a week or more on Little Gasparilla Island. Such a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Kim was great to work with and she did everything to ensure or stay was enjoyable. The beach is beautiful!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I along with our dog, rented La Te Da, for 4 weeks. We had friends and family join us at various times during our stay. Eveyone who visited all agreed with us that the home and Island were perfect! The house is right on the beach with fantastic sunsets!! The sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep every night also,the beds are all super comfortable. There is some great shelling on the beach. We saw quite a few dolphins right in frount of the house playing in the surf on several occasions, and there is a gopher tortoise that lives in the yard that I found out loves strawberries! There is also a little lending library on the island, which was perfect because the beach house had a great hammock and many an afternoon was spent on the porch! La Te Da is a really great ocean front property, with amazing views. Ed and Kim are easy to work with, and if you are lucky enough to meet their daughter Abby, she might even give you a tour of the island on the golf cart!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Just returned from a two week vacation at 'La Te Da' and I am already wanting to return. Infact I just didn't want to leave. This was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. The house is newley renovated, and is not a rental house but a rental 'home' so welcoming and clean. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in which is very rare for any rental house. The house is right on the beach, which is dog friendly, so my 9 month puppy was in heaven taking long walks every morning as well as playing all afternoon in and out of the ocean with his new paw friends. If you are a dog owner/lover this is a wonderful place for your dog to have a great vacation too. A very dog friendly island. Amazing sunsets, calming sounds of the ocean to send you to sleep, incredible views of the Gulf, and a lovely sandy beach with lot's of shells to rumage through. The pictures on this site are very accurate unlike other rentals that I have stayed in and the property owners were a delight to deal with. I will be recomending this vacation house to all my friends and relatives for sure and will deffinatly return again, hopefully sooner than later :)Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: This is kind of a family adventure. My grandmother, mom, husband, me, and my two children are all involved with the beach house. We all live in Port Charlotte, Florida. My mom and Grammy just moved down from Sarasota, Fl to be closer to us. They are now 2 streets away! We decided to purchase this house so we can make great memories! We have already and hope you do to!
Why the Owner Chose Little Gasparilla Island:
Little Gasparilla Island is very unique. It is very private and very secluded! I love that you don't hear any car horns or traffic. You are completely surrounded by nature. I think that is what makes this island so special!
