  My family spent 7 days at this condo spring skiing at Squaw. I am a long time skier at the mountain and have stayed at various locations around the mountain and I will say that this is one of the best spots anywhere in the valley. I really enjoyed the location of the Condo as it was walking distance to the Village but removed so it was nice and quiet. My kids had a blast staying in the bedroom with the bunk beds and loved using all of the kids games that were stocked at the condo. The master bedroom was very comfortable with nice comfortable bedding and pillows. We really enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen that seemed to have everything that we needed to cook the majority of our meals (which is sometimes rare with rentals!). We even baked a cake for my wife’s birthday! The condo is located in the Squaw Valley Lodge complex on the Sunny Side of the Mountain run. The unit is literally steps away from the facility pool, hot tubs, gym, and tennis courts. The owner was very easy to do business with and I can honestly say that I would recommend this condo to ANYONE and I am looking forward to the next time that I get a chance to rent this unit!   We stayed here for three nights (a group of four friends) and were very impressed with this place. It's located right at the base of Squaw Valley, so you walk out right to the village, lifts, etc. The complex has hot tubs, a nice gym and saunas (wet and dry) - all about 50 steps away. The unit itself was very well-equipped. Nicely furnished with all the basics provided for a short-stay (including spices, napkins, TP, plenty of towels, laundry detergent, etc.). The beds and couches were comfortable, and the layout provided nice privacy for those staying in the two separate bedrooms. New TV, DVD player, wireless included - all good for those who spent more time inside the unit than on the slopes. The parking space below the unit is perfect - just load your stuff on the elevator from the garage and your at the condo door. Finally, communications with the owner, something that doesn't always go well thru VRBO, was great - he was very responsive. Would definitely recommend this place!

  My family stayed at this condo over our holidays in January 2013 and we were 100% happy. The owners have a wonderful Condo to share and have furnished it with really comfy beds, great furnishings, luxury lounge and up market kitchen equipment and beautiful cutlery and crockery. Great coming home knowing you are going to be able to cook a lovely meal because of the well equipped kitchen. The bathrooms (2) are also great with double vanities and your own spa bath. There is more than ample wardrobe space and a great variety of board games for the whole family to play. The Condo is part of The Lodge at Squaw Valley so is in a great location, right under the Aerial Tram (which you can watch out the window). The facilities are great - hot tubs, swimming pool, table tennis, games room and lift right near the front door. Best of all though, it is genuine ski in ski out - it was great to ski down Sunnyside and stop right outside the door...made skiing with the 8 year old a lot easier. The Squaw Valley Village is good and while we did a big shop in Tahoe City (we stayed 10 nights), the local supermarket, while small has great organic food to buy if you run out of anything. Ate in most nights as the kitchen and dinner table were fabulous to have but did eat out at 22 Bar which was nice. Also the restaurant at the top of the Aerial Tram is worth a lunch time visit while you are out skiing. Would recommend having a few days skiing at Alpine Meadows (Short walk to free shuttle). It is an amazing mountain with few crowds and a more relaxed vibe than Squaw. Their back bowls are some of the best skiable with views of Lake Tahoe that are just spectacular. The owners are great to work with and their rates are more than reasonable. We have stayed at a number of Condo using VRBO at a few ski resorts...this one was the best. Only problem is you won't want to leave. We will be back...
