Clean and comfortable home, great location
Clean and comfortable home, great location
What a fantastic week! My husband and I and another couple spent a week in this home while adventuring in the Sedona area. This home was everything it appeared to be online - clean, well kept, well stocked, comfortable, plenty room for 4 people, and a great location to explore the area - Cottonwood, Jerome, Camp Verde, Sedona and the Grand Canyon. We cooked most of our breakfasts and dinners, so it was handy to have a Walmart close by for groceries in Cottonwood. The gas and charcoal grills were very much appreciated. It was refreshing to be out of Sedona a little bit to get away from the busyness and crowds and high prices, yet close enough to everything we wanted to do. The home owner was very helpful with directions and things to do in the area. October was a perfect time to visit. Would highly recommend West Fork hike, Northern Lights hot air ballooning, renting your own tom car and exploring several routes, hike to Devil's Bridge, the Grand Canyon and Montezuma's Castle. I would definitely return to this area and would stay in this home again! Thank you so much for a wonderful week! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation!

Four of us (two couples) spent a week here. Cornville is perfectly located for enjoying Cottonwood, Jerome, and Sedona. We did a day trip to the Grand Canyon...a long day but very do-able. This condo was roomy, clean, and comfortable - SO much better than staying in a hotel. The kitchen is well equipped and there seems to be a spirit of sharing among the folks who stay here. We found fresh snacks and a bottle of wine and left several beers, coffee, and bottled water. The pantry had enough of the basics to make cooking in and grilling out so easy. The condo is exactly as pictured, very bright, open, and welcoming. The owner was very easy to reach by email and answered all questions very promptly. Real pluses were: wifi, laundry facilities, and plenty of places to sit for visiting and dining.

Owner response: Thanks
The house is clean and very welcoming. The beds are very comfortable. The binder provided will not only make you feel ease at a new place, but also offers information to make your vacation more enjoyable, with recommendation of places to see and good food to try, etc.. The kitchen has lots of supplies and cookware. We made wonderful and warm family meals here. The house also has BBQ grills, bikes, and other little things to make your stay more enjoyable. It is truly a home. Our family really appreciate the owners letting us stay at their lovely home. We will definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for beautiful vacation experience in Sedona.

Home Away from Home
Home Away from Home
This is a home I would stay at again and highly recommend to others. The minute you walk in you feel right at home. The variety of cookware provided make is easy to create a family meal or grill out on the gas grill. It is clean, bright, and beautiful. The extremely comfortable beds make it tempting to sleep in. But, you won't want to because the owner has supplied a binder with information pamphlets regarding sightseeing options( far too much to see in one trip). The central location, of the condo, makes it easy to find/drive to you adventure of the day. Counting the months until we can return.

Awesome choice for a stay in Sedona. This house is so relaxing and you have everything at your fingertips. Master bedroom with it's own bath and very comfortable bed. Patio to sit outside and enjoy the tranquility and view of the moutains in the distance. No need to pack extra clothes as you can do a quick load of laundry. We always find that a bonus! Location, in my opinion, is perfect for the area. Everything is, at best, reachable withing 5 minutes to an hour. The drive from this house to downtown Sedona area is so beautiful. It makes you appreciate the location of the house even more. Pull out of the garage, go to the end of the street, take a left and drive about 10 minutes and you are in Cottonwood. Or drive about 20 minutes and you are the old ghost town of Jerome. Honestly, this is the only choice in the area to stay. Newness, cleanliness, location and price make it the perfect choice. We did not use the pool or golf course. This was our first time and we did alot of hiking.

A great home near a beautiful location!
A great home near a beautiful location!
Two couples thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at this beautiful home in Cornville. The furnishings were very nice and included a kitchen with some items already in the pantry, a laundry room complete with soap and softener, a patio with gas grill, and golf clubs available for our use. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the golf course and swimming pool, but they were available. We appreciated the suggestions for activities in the area. They helped us decide how to best use our two days in the Sedona area. We'd like to go back again sometime! Thank you!

About the owner: Michigan home grown teacher has fallen in love with Arizona. I have been visiting Arizona every year for 20 + years. I love to explore. I have visited many vacation attractions and hiked many trails. I could write a travel book on Arizona. A retired teacher can't wait to live in Arizona full time. My dream job is to own a bed and breakfast. I love to find a deal which I'll be happy to share.
Why the Owner Chose Sedona:
We built this home to live in when we retire. We will live here in 3 more years but don't want it to be vacant. My home is in a quiet community centrally located to all the attractions Northern Arizona has to offer. All activities are within a short distance of the house. For the person who likes to just relax the pool is rarely crowded and the club house has a book share program and large television where one can just vegg. The golf course is behind the house and reasonably priced. For nightlife there is a casino 15 minutes away, a movie theatre 5 minutes and plenty of entertainment in Sedona 20 minutes away. Food and gas are more reasonably priced in Cottonwood two minutes from the house than in the tourist area of Sedona. Sedona is a 20 minute ride, red rock views are across the street. The area is completely surrounded by mountains. Red rock on one side the green mingus mountains on the other side. The famous ghost town of Jerome is close enough to see the town's lights twinkling at night. I love the sunshine, golf, food, people, skies, mountains, variety, and the historical sites. I have provided you at the house or available through e-mail my favorite attractions, shops, and places to eat.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
My favorite place in the world is sitting on my couch looking at the Mingus mountains and the clouds wrapping around them. The house is bright and cheerful and incredibly homey. I love sitting in the pool at the clubhouse and looking at the green fairways enveloped in the mountain range. Each day is filled with sunshine which radiates throughout the house. I love the Southwestern decor and Indian art. This area has miles of natural forests which you can wander and if it gets too hot you can travel to Flagstaff where the average temperature in the summer is in the seventies. If it is too cold in Sedona it is only 1.5 hours to Phoenix one of the hottest places in the US. I love this about where my home is located. Not many places offer this variety of climate. If you are lucky you might see a bear, mountain lion, antelope, deer, elk or jack rabbits. I've seen them all, in fact they caught a black bear right in front of the house two years ago. Don't be alarmed that was rare. We have provided two sets of golf clubs for your use and two bikes to ride.
