  My husband and I stayed in the apartment which is in the fahionable Marina district which has many shops and restaurants. It was very clean and had everything we needed, plenty of linens and towels etc. There is a large grocery store two blocks away which was very convenient. We enjoyed waking up to the view of the garden and its beautiful trees. The owner was very helpful with recommendations and asked us if we needed anything. We enjoyed walking to the bay and seeing the golden gate bridge in 5 minutes! We had a car and parking was surprisingly easy. I would definitely recommend this property to friends, it is such great value for money!

  The picture of the building is not representative of the apt. The directions should be clearer about walking down the long, narrow dark tunnel next to the garage (we arrived after dark), there was no light in this area. It should also indicate that you pass under the stairs, over the hose and into the door on the right. The apt. is nice but does not have a normal coffee pot or working TV (no reception). The bathroom was set up with 3 towels for 4 people, a Light bulb was out in both living and bedroom areas. The apt. is in a nice location, but has no view except back yard fake grass and toys/trampoline. Comfortable, and cute.

  Owner response: We have added light sensors at the entrance of the apartment for late check in. The system was not in place at the time of your stay. The photo of the building is representative. The unit is located in the building, easy to find and yes, it has a great view of our garden. Pictures of the garden have been added. We never imply any other view and all our guests are happy to have a view and access to our garden. We offer an espresso machine but we are happy to add a normal coffee pot. The TV is working. We added instructions to make sure our guests can easily watch their favorite channels. We always replace broken light bulbs the same day, when reported. We live on the property.

  This is a very nice and convenient 1 bedroom walking distance to the nice shopping area of Chesnut Street as well as Crissy field and the Golden Gate bridge for amazing runs. Everything in the appartement met our expectations and the property was cleaned and well maintained. I would definitely recommend it! Parking can be found easily in the area and the big store Safeway is only around the block.

  Lovely, well-kept, quiet and charming apartment very close to the Marina. Within walking distance of the marina bar & club district and trendy shops. No hippies or bums, only toned bodies and cute faces. Stop by vegetarian Greens restaurant for a fab brunch overlooking the golden gate. A word of caution regarding the owner's running advice, while it may take her "only" 15mn running to Sausalito, YMMV. In all, great location, easy going, friendly and responsive owner.

  Arriving in The Marina, we were delighted by the individual charm and character of each dwelling, slightly envious of those who live there. And then we found Beach Street, one of the loveliest of all. Wish our bed at home was as comfortable and the shower is to die for. It was the perfect location --- a nice walk through a forested park to Fisherman's Wharf, cable car, supermarket. 2 blocks away is the bay with views of Golden Gate and Alcatraz, bike rental for farther exploration and great food galore on Chestnut Street just a short walk away. What better way to enjoy SF than to live there like lucky Marina residents?

  We stayed at Anne's place for a week, and absolutely loved the place. It is super cosy and everything is where it should be. What's more, the location is one of the best in SF i.e. the Marina Bay, where you can take nice walks. One the very best features of the place is the small garden at the back of the apartment (which does not really show on the pictures). Anne and her family are lovely people, and she was very keen to assist at all time (although her assistance was not needed as everything was wonderful). Cheers. Sam

  Hello Anne, I just wanted to congratulate you on your place. Such a sunny and homey place.Very clean, and super well setup. A special plus for the lovely bedroom: so nice to be able to wake up with a view of a garden in the city. I may say that your neighborhood has it all: the bars and restaurants in Chesnut and Fillmore and it is so tempting to go running on the Marina green till the golden gate ! I even rented a bike once to cross the bridge, fantastic ! Thank you for so great souvenirs. AND ... Parking is relatively easy for SF! I quickly found a spot every time. So I will definitely come back if I can, very soon :)

  Hello Anne, I appreciated so much your place that I decided to come back. I sleep particularly well at your place, the bed is so comfortable. the place so quiet. and, I really appreciated your location: as said before, it is no tempting to go and see the nearby golden gate and the bay and, I want to add this time that since I did not had my car, I realize as well, how convenient it is to go around with buses: I went couple of time shopping downtown, spent some great time walking around the italian district and Chinatown and every day I loved coming back to your apartment and neighborhood. I definitely recommend your place to other visitors :)

  I have stayed here several times - as a single person and also with my fiance. The apartment is charming, quiet and with access to a lovely garden which gets the morning sun flooding into the bedroom. The bed is super comfy, there's a good shower and a kitchen with microwave, hob, fridge, dishwasher etc. The location is excellent - right In the heart of the marina - 4-5 blocks to all the hip Chestnut street restaurants, cafes and boutiques, 2 blocks from Safeway and 2 blocks from the Bay from where you can walk/bike along the waterfront to the marina, Fort Mason, Chrissy Field recreational area and up to the Golden Gate bridge. There's good MUNI bus connections from Filmore street if you don't have a car. The owners are great and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

  Séjour en famille (2 parents + 2 enfants) à San Francisco, nous avons passé une semaine chez Anne et Daniel. L'appartement est très bien équipé, et idéalement placé, tant pour faire les courses, que pour se promener. Les parents ont une chambre et les enfants dorment sur le grand canapé/lit. Nos hôtes (francophones) sont vraiment charmants et nous ont donné de nombreux et précieux conseils Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse, et ne manquerons pas d'y retourner bientôt !

Cancellation policy:

San Francisco Vacation Home Rental Agreement At the time you book your reservation, your name, address, phone number, credit card number and expiration date are required. A 50% reservation deposit will be charged to your credit card. The full payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival. There will be no refunds 30 days or less prior to your arrival date unless the home can be re-rented during the same time period, for the same price. Once your balance is paid in full and your signed contract is on file, you will be given the instructions for entering the home. Check-in is 4:00 p.m. Check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Late checkouts are charged $45.00 on the half hour if the cleaning company has to wait for you to vacate the property. On the day of your arrival, your credit card will be authorized for a $200 security deposit. For a full refund (credit to your credit card) within 10 days of your departure, please follow the rules of this agreement. If the home is left dirty and cleaning takes more than the allotted time, it will be charged at $50 per hour. All items left behind will be saved for you to pick up. If you need them mailed, there is a $25 handling fee, plus the shipping costs. For any excessive charges higher than your security deposit, by signing this rental agreement, you are authorizing management to charge your credit card for the additional amount. NO LOUD NOISES AFTER 10:00 PM: In some case there are permanent residents living in your building and neighbors next door. Please be respectful to your neighbors and keep all loud sounds down after 10:00 pm. Remember, these residents have children that attend school, they have early morning work schedules and they need their rest. If at any time after 10:00 pm residents feel that you are being too loud, they are instructed to call the police, to assist in handling the situation. If neighbors have to complain about loud behavior, you will be asked to leave and will not be refunded for any unused days. NO PETS: If we find that you have a pet on the property , your credit card will be charged $250.00 to have the carpet and upholstery cleaned. Your account will also be charged for any additional damaged that exceed the $250.00 fine. By signing below, you are agreeing to this policy. NO SMOKING: No smoking inside the home or garage. If you do smoke on one of the decks or near a door, please use caution to prevent smoke from entering the home. Close all doors and windows while smoking outside the house. Properly dispose of cigarette butts. Place entirely extinguished butts in an outside garbage receptacle. Failure to follow this policy will result in your card being charged $500.00 (to be use for laundering all linens and towels in the house and cleaning the carpets, furniture, etc.).
