Welcome to our five-acre part of heaven. Our 1800 square foot home is a new, two-story, rock farmhouse with front and back balconies, a front porch, and two living rooms, one upstairs and one down. There is a den downstairs as well. With paved access off a main highway, this home is easy to find.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area: it is just a short five minute drive to Blanco and 15 minutes to Johnson City. Blanco has swimming in the Blanco River, shopping, and sightseeing, Johnson City is the home of LBJ and quaint shops and antiques.
We are just 45 minutes from many other day trips, such as Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, outlet malls in San Marcos, antique shopping Fredericksburg, Boerne, and Wimberley. And just 50 minutes away are the cities of San Antonio or Austin, with the added bonus of having a quiet balcony and great breeze to return to after a day in the city.
Ladies, if you are hunting widows this fall, get together and take a few days off with your girlfriends while the men are at the hunting lodge, this house is especially suited for women!
We are gradually adding to the yard and landscape; there is a small fenced garden area that offers fresh herbs and vegetables in season as well as flowers to cut for the table. |
