Grab a cup of apple cider and a good book because you will not want to leave the comfort of the rocking chairs on the outside deck showcasing a panoramic view of Grandfather Mountain. For the explorers, the Blue Ridge Mountains offer activities for all seasons. In the winter, a sugar-coated snow canopy covers our townhome. Hike to the ski slopes on a mountain trail or drive to the slopes on Sugar Mountain’s paved roads. Downhill skiing, snowboarding and tubing are all available on Sugar Mountain. Spring and summer offer myriad of activities. Come and watch the flowers and wildlife awaken from winter hibernation on the miles of hiking trails. Whitewater rafting, fly-fishing, golfing, boating and horseback riding are just some of the fun activities available on Sugar Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Autumn brings cooler weather and beautiful tapestries of changing colors. Picnic on the Blue Ridge, hike the trails and see nature transform right before your eyes! Do you know what a wooly worm is? Visit the Banner Elk Wooly Worm Festival on the third weekend of October. Good ol’ fashion bluegrass entertainment, arts and crafts, and the racing of the wooly worms. "It don’t get no better than this!" Our home has a private entrance with ground parking. Just pull up and come on in! We are just a short drive away from Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Boone, Grandfather Mountain and the neighboring state of Tennessee. Antique shopping and good eats are abundant.
