We really enjoyed our stay. The Location was fantastic, the house has a beautiful kitchen with all the appliances and cookware you could dream of! The weather was perfect spring skiing. Perfect place to stay, thank you very much!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. The kitchen and great room are what we love about the place also - a natural place for everyone to gather after a day of skiing.

This chalet had more than what we expected. The place was well furnished and very spacious. 8 of us slept comfortably and never did any of us have to wait for a washroom or shower. The hot tub was great for after skiing/ snowboarding and fit everyone comfortably. The location was very private, the unit attached to the property was empty and so we felt as if it was just us. Even after dark we were not disturbed by the neighbors nor did we receive any complaints. It is definitely ski out, but skiing back to the place is very tricky unless you maintain a fast speed. There was a lot of snow and the slope behind the Chalet was not groomed. It's maybe a 50 metre walk from where you stop to the place which is not bad at all. One of the best features of this chalet is the fireplace. It warmed the entire place and was surrounded by very comfortable leather couches. The layout of the sitting area and kitchen kept us enjoying each others conversations and sipping lots of wine through the night. This place is definitely amazing and I would highly recommend it to my friends and family.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: We are from London, Ontario but love the skiing and outdoor live in BC. We chose Silver Star for the great conditions, central location and year round activities.
Why the Owner Chose Silver Star Mountain:
We liked it so much we bought a house here! Snow conditions are usually excellent, the village offers a variety of restaurants ranging from pub and saloon (Long John's and Bulldog) to fine dining at Silver Grill or Isadores. And lunch or treats at Bugaboos! Lots of terrain, and there is a reason the locals head to the backside! There is no lack of challenging runs and lots of gullies so the powder piles in after a snow fall. Plenty of glade skiing as well, with easy ones on the front side. It is a mountain that needs to be explored to find the best stuff, but there is plenty there. Then, when the legs need something different, the nordic trails are outstanding - at Silver Star on the nicer days, or head to Sovereign Lake if it is colder or windy. Snowshoe trails, a skating rink, tubing, and mini snowmobiles for the kids rounds it all off.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
This is a true mountain style home that belongs in a ski resort. The layout is perfect for adults or two families with children. There is great access to the ski runs and trails, but in an uncrowded area of the mountain.
