Lots of light, cheerful and inviting 1500 square foot cabin. The great room upstairs is the living area, with kitchen, dining and living room under beautiful vaulted wood ceilings. Step outside on the balcony, you'll know why we call it the tree house! The balcony has gas grill, piped in stereo music and hanging lights to make your stay a little magical. You'll see so many stars at night! Downstairs are three bedrooms: the roomy master bedroom with queen bed and ensuite bathroom with an extra heater for those chilly mornings! From master bedroom is a private balcony that looks out onto the pine and cedar trees with mountains as the backdrop. Second bedroom also has a queen bed, and the third has bunk beds that sleeps up to three children.
Great wireless, stereo, CD player and DVD player. Includes a collection of DVDs and CDs. Books, puzzles. Close to hiking trails, the Nature Center, and much more.

My boyfriend and I wanted a quick get away to beautiful Idyllwild. We found this property just two minutes from the village and a plus was that it was dog friendly. The house is huge and beautifully maintained. Ample room for a small or large family. The gated outdoor area was perfect for our dog (60 lb black lab) to stretch her legs. The wood stove was a nice touch. The only downside was the satellite cable service boxes were not hooked up (they were in a box in the master closet). We listened to music the majority of the time while we read. The house is very close to the village, only a 1-2 minute drive so that was very convenient. We cooked twice while we were there and the kitchen was well equipped. The house has some stairs to get to the entry door and also a full flight inside which our dog thoroughly enjoyed navigating. We'd definitely stay here again. Also having an owner that accepted online payment was very convenient.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We rented this property for the week of the new year. It was wonderful! It looks right out onto the trees and feels very secluded. The house itself is well maintained and the owner was very interested to make sure everything was just right for our stay. There is enough space for a big family yet, as just two people, it was cozy and charming. HIGHLY recommend.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Owner info

About the owner: I visited Idyllwild in 1996 and fell in love with the scenery, the people, the charming town, the sound of the wind in the pine trees. One day I plan to move up here permanently.
Why the Owner Chose Idyllwild:
Quiet and secluded wooded setting, the open, airy floorplan in a newer cabin, with all the amenities. Two balconies, one off the master bedroom with own bathroom. Close to town, but peaceful and serene - a perfect getaway!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
