Location: Tremont, Mount Desert Island, Acadia, Maine, USA (On Mount Desert Island, Close to Acadia National Park)

Our house is on a country road in Tremont, on the "quiet side" of Mount Desert Island. We are 200 feet from the ocean - with views of Duck Cove from the decks and inside the house. The house has three bedrooms (queen, double, and bunk), and one bathroom. This is our personal vacation home, so it is furnished to a high standard, with a fully-equipped kitchen.

We are close to Acadia National Park, with access to hiking and cycling trails, and lakes for canoeing and kayaking. The scenery is spectacular. There are plenty of great restaurants in nearby Southwest Harbor and in the larger town of Bar Harbor (30 minutes away).

  • What a wonderful retreat and the perfect antidote for city life! After hiking all day, we enjoyed your well-equipped chef's kitchen and all the other comforts of home. And the serenity ... it was quiet enough that we could hear waves gently lapping at the shore. We actually were happy to have a rainy day, so we could spend more time at "home," relaxing and curling up with coffee and a good book. What a beautiful, charming house. We've been coming up to MDI for more than 10 years, and this is by far our favorite place to stay. We hope to be back soon!!
