Be my guest in my home! Nicely furnished; even has an Amish fireplace!

The bunk bed hallway space was converted to an office that includes an HDMI monitor, keyboard and color scanner/printer and b/w laser printer - just bring your laptop! Upgraded High Speed Internet is free!

Includes Basic Cable as well as a blue-ray DVD player with HULU and Netflix, and a cabinet full of DVDs for those rare rainy days.

New large closet in the bedroom plus smaller 2nd closet. Has two toilets, two sinks, one shower/bath tub; all new hardware. The bedroom has a king bed and a cozy leather love seat, the living room includes one new queen tempurpaedic sleeper, and a new twin size sleeper love seat. Just rotate the love seat on the tile floor to parallel it with the couch before opening it. There's also an auto-inflatable elevated twin air mattress in a box in the office alcove that would be a cozy fit in the hallway. Flat screen TVs in both the bedroom and living room.

The well equipped kitchen includes dinner settings for 8, a full array of small appliances, as well as new stainless appliances including microwave w/convection oven, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator with ice maker, and filtered drink dispenser. New AC/Heater (with turn off sensor when the patio door is opened) and water heater. There's even a high tech combo washer/dryer - throw the clothes in the wash before you go to bed and they are dry when you get up!

It's on the 9th floor, with a large balcony that overlooks the quieter garden area and beach on the west side of the complex. Complex amenities include a top notch exercise facility, large inside and outside Jacuzzis, sauna, and one of the two large outdoor pools is heated to 85 degrees all winter. Walk to restaurants and lots of arcades and rides. Or, in the winter, join fellow residents in the downstairs lounge for group activities any day of the week!

This is my permanent home, when I'm not travelling for work, so it is set up for my comfort. (Unlike the majority of Summit vacation rentals that have the uncomfortable wicker furniture and poor internet service.) I want you to feel like a cherished guest in my home.

I work for FEMA as a Reservist and get deployed to disasters around the country as a map maker. (You will see lots of maps throughout my home.) When I don't work I don't get paid so your visit helps me to more smoothly manage those down times.

Love the condo! It had everything that we could possibly need and then some and the view was awesome! Mary was sweet enough to even leave us some fresh fruit in the refrigerator. The condo was close to many great restaurants (Panera Bread, Angelo's Steak Pit, Capt. Andersons's, etc.) and a super Walmart so it was very convenient. The facility even had several rolling luggage carts and shopping carts to help us get our luggage and shopping bags to the condo. There were two pools, a small exercise area with universal type machines and treadmills, and even a mini arcade. The beach area was clean and well maintained. There were umbrellas and chairs for rent but were a little pricey ($25 a day); however, we had brought our own chairs and Mary had a small umbrella available. Cons: Part of the facility needed a little freshening up (mildew smell) but Mary's condo was immaculate and very comfortable. When we arrived on Monday the Summit management office charged us a $37 parking fee instead of the normal $15. They said it was the last day of "Spring Break" and that the fee would go back down on Tuesday. The clerk even suggested we check in a day later---as if! The higher fees should have ended on Sunday and an exception should have been granted as we (over 50 years old) were definitely not Spring Breakers. ;) However, Mary offered to reimburse us the excessive fee charge. Mary was easy to contact by email and by phone which we greatly appreciated. We would definitely recommend this condo to our family and friends.

Owner response: James, I'm glad to hear you had a great time and enjoyed staying in my home. I agree there are many fine restaurants and the prices are quite reasonable. Of course I'm comparing that to where I am now, in NYC; to enjoy the restaurants here you have to rob a bank to get fine dining. Of course the government Per Diem does pay for the occasional indulgence. But I'd rather be next door, at a table in the back of Spinnakers, overlooking the butterfly preservation area and the beach, listening to some great country music, eating their outstanding gumbo. Best of luck to your family as you return to China. Warmly, Mary

My family and I have stayed at the Summit in Feb 2013 and We had a wonderful time. The location is great and close to all attractions, restaurants and shopping areas. Everything in our Unit was clean upon arrival, the furniture was relatively new and well-maintained, and all the new stainless appliances worked like a charm. The flatscreen TV and the free WIFI was a refreshing surprise, given how dated a lot of condos around PCB can be. Getting to the balcony was easy. We couldn’t get over the nice golf view and how relaxing those sunsets were . The owner Mary Meade is a such sweet heart and was in touch with us at all times. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Mary's Lovely condo. We are actually coming back in July for another week.

Know that Mary's got just about every thing you could think of in her condo, such as pots/pans/ dishes/glasses/silverware and much, much more. We'll be sure to be packing less for our next stay regarding those kinds of things. Mary also has a good sense of humor and is very approachable in every email exchange we had since our initial phone call. She really cares about the presentation of her condo at The Summit. Her amazing attention to detail for providing things you migh have forgotten, like new toothbrushes, toothpaste, a stash of hotel shampoo's and the like that she's collected... Having that convenience especially on a late arrival of a trip that was a scrambled last-minute idea is a real Godsend... Mary you ROCK at that! Everybody in this town is so friendly, helpful and kind. You're going to love it here in PCB and in Mary's condo. We can certainly see why she prefers her condo over the quieter garden end of the Summit, than over the pool area. We'd make the exace same selection, if we could afford to own. Have a great stay. We sure did! Thanks again, Mary!! Skip and Sandy H.

Mary, We enjoyed our stay so much and wanted to stay longer. I love your place and the unique items you have. My boyfriend and myself slept in... walked the beach, drank too much wine... drove to Mexico beach and spotted an adorable little chapel by the sea where one day if he's lucky I might marry him. (LOL) Ate some great food... mostly cooked in... and laid on the balcony and enjoyed the view. We had a blast and would love to come back. Also would love to meet my Land Lady. BB

Our experience at the Condo was awesome. Mary was a pleasure to deal with, and opening her home made a very comfortable weekend. The furnishings were great and the view was beautiful. The Condo has some unique art and lots of books. It was very nice being able to actually find a coffee filter or some salt and pepper without having to run to the store as soon as you arrive. We used a few things and returned even more. I would highly recommend the Condo for another stay for myself or my friends and family. The property has just about everything you need for your stay, you could actually never leave the property. Thanks Mary we had a great time...!!!!!.

Owner response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit and felt right at home! I did try the coffee you left when I came last weekend and found it to be a delightful change. I also bought an espresso machine - that you'll have to try next time. I saw in your note in the guestbook that you liked my artwork - you've no doubt figured out that I have this thing for goats. Can you believe I let my son keep a baby goat (rejected by his mama) that he was bottle feeding in his room - in diapers! That's a different chapter. :-) I did get deployed to NYC and I expect I'll be here a long time. As we come into winter I'll be reminded why I left upstate New York so many years ago and will miss my PCB home. Don't be a stranger - and yes it would be great to meet my new friends! You can always follow me on Facebook - email me and I'll send you my link since vrbo won't let me post links. There you'll find me to be a little over focused on emergency management and maps. Best, Mary

The property was very very clean. Very warm and personal. Great office set-up, easy access to stores, restaurants and mall. I have never met such friendly people, everywhere we went, from the elevator to the grocery store, the beach and the Summit staff was great, we felt so welcome!! Instructions and information regarding the property were detailed, helpful and easy to follow. I felt that any question's I could have asked were covered well. It felt like home away from home. I would recommend this property to famil and friends

Owner response: I'm glad you enjoyed your stay - and felt at home everywhere! As a northern transplant, I too, have been made to feel most welcome. I have been especially impressed by the manners of the youngsters that have often offered to hold my groceries in the elevator! I've traveled around the world for work and play and I can truly say there's no better place for hospitality than the south USA. As my first guest I especially appreciated your patience as I learned how to negotiate the VRBO tools. Thank you for making my first experience a pleasant one. I hope you stay with us again next year if your church group returns to Panama City.

              Year Purchased: 2012

About the owner: I live here - when I'm not deployed to disasters as a map maker. I work for FEMA and travel for months at a time. Presently (April, 2013) I've been working Hurricane Sandy in NYC since Nov., 2012.

Why the Owner Chose The Summit:
My home is your home. I have made it comfortable for myself and my friends, who use it when it's not rented. I'd like to consider you as my new friends and for everyone I leave packaged foods, e.g., coffee/tea, condiments, spaghetti/sauce, snacks, etc. in the cupboards and fridge so you don't have to run out for groceries the night you arrive. You can of course replace anything that is getting low or has run out the next time you get to the store so other guests can have the same convenience. Or leave your favorite non-perishable treats. I removed the bunk beds in the hallway in favor of a comfortable oversized single sleeper chair in the living room. I made an office where the bunk beds were and I upgraded to the high speed WIFI Internet so I could enjoy Hulu and Netflix. I added a larger closet in the bedroom with lots of shelving. I have furniture that I enjoy living with, including a fine dining set that, by sliding the single chair out of the way and the bench over, let's me have a table set for six. I have a dinette on the balcony as well as gravity chairs and side tables. While all but one guest have said how much they like having my personal things available to use (fiction, non-fiction and cook books, lots of kitchen gadgets, office equipment and supplies, beach toys, etc) I did have one visitor that complained that it felt too much like a home and not like a vacation get away. I offered them a full refund if they moved out the night they arrived, even found them an alternative condo in the complex, but they decided to stay. Go figure.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The view is amazing! I have never seen anything more beautiful than a lightning storm come in over the waters at night. I enjoy the camaraderie of the locals and meeting interesting people from all over the world. Or just napping in my gravity chair, listening to the waves breaking on the shore, soaking up the warm winter sun that bakes the balcony in the afternoon. Spinakers is my favorite place to eat in town and it's just a short walk down the beach with tables on the beachs' edge.
