Nice house for family gathering
Nice house for family gathering
We took our 21 year old son and also his older sisters family to this home on Milton Pond, which included our daughter's husband, their 3 year old and 10 month old. It worked out very well for us. The home is very well maintained and I'm happy to say it was very clean. It is located in a small town so for the most part, it was also a quite location. The kitchen is so well stocked with virtually anything you might need for your cooking and baking. The decks were great to sit on in the evenings and roast marshmellows. The beds were ok, a bit hard for our taste, but everyone's taste is different. The biggest thing we were a bit disappointed in is the fact that in the water by the dock, there are quite a few rocks. The canoe we were allowed to use wasn't an issue, but we rented a jet ski and we were afraid to bring it in and out by the dock so we had to go to the public beach to use the jet ski there to feel safe about not damaging the rented jet ski. We also were a bit disappointed that the kayaks had been stolen from the property so we weren't able to use those, but the owners were apologetic about that, and I did feel bad for them for having them stolen. It was a great place to relax and spend time with our kids and grandkids. I would definitely recommend the place and also working with the owners. We also received our deposit back within a week of returning home - which was greatly appreciated.

We thoroughly our week's stay here. Home was better equipped than my personal residence. Neat, clean and comfortable. If there is a drawback, the pond is not as close as I pictured and not particularly inviting for swimming. Stores and restaurants were very accessible. Would return again and recommend to others without reservation.

Great property with all the modern amenities expected, all the kitchen appliances you need, great LCD TV, great Wi-Fi. Clean new living and bath rooms with towels and sheets provided. The washer and dryer came in handy. We even had to use the gas fireplace one night as it got down to below 65 degrees. Highly recommended property.

A TRUE HOME AWAY FROM HOME.
A TRUE HOME AWAY FROM HOME.
My family of eight rented this lake house for ten days in May. We found the home to be even better than advertised in pictures. Photos do not adequately capture the breathtaking views from the multiple decks of this home. The property is surrounded by trees making it feel as if the lake is yours alone. The home is equipped with everything you'd find in your own home. The grounds and home are meticulously kept and very well maintained. The square footage accommodated our family of 8 very comfortably. The home is located almost perfectly between Boston (90 minutes south) and the White Mountains (90 minutes north.) We enjoyed both the city and the mountains during our stay, but our fondest memories are those spent by the lake, kayaking, boiling lobster and sitting on the deck roasting marshmallows. We will most definitely be staying here again.

Why the Owner Chose Milton Pond:
This unique property has been in my family for generations, and I fondly remember the wonderful summers I spent here with my Grandparents in a cozy little cottage. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful spot to settle back and enjoy 'lake life' and all it does for our mental and spiritual well being.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Nature surrounds this private 2.2 acres, great bass fishing from the dock, the families of loons that sing their unique songs at dawn and dusk.
