  We kicked off our honeymoon with a stay at this amazing rental near Kilauea. The owners greeted us with a welcome basket, and we used everything they gave us - local coffee, granola, and more. The rental sits on an amazing property with great mountain views, lots of great birds, and plenty of privacy. The main room includes the kitchen and the living space, where we relaxed after exploring Kaua'i. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! We found the location perfect, since we love the North shore area, and especially Hanalei. We took one day-long excursion to the other side of the island but found that most of what we wanted to explore was near Kilauea. We highly encourage people to visit the stone mill by bike - information is in the rental book. It was a very peaceful place, well worth the bike ride near the house. We highly recommend this rental, and hope we will be back soon.

  The guest house is a large studio at a lovely site on a large piece of property just up the hill from the Princeville highway. The hosts are gracious and the place is very nicely appointed with a /comfortable living room array with nice size flat screen TV, a wonderful king bed, large bathroom and a kitchen stocked with everything one would need (including Penzeys spices). The location is nice for access to northshore Kauai with occasional shopping forays to Kapa'a. We even enjoyed the famous roosters and chickens who didn't disturb our sleep and provided us with the opportunity to name the various colorful inhabitants with Coq au Vin, Satay and Cacciatore. We were also treated to a variety of birds from the cabin window. It was a restful, romantic get-away and we'll be back.

  I was so excited about staying in this lovely place. I was looking forward to staying on such a large property, it allowed me to experience the beauty that the island has to offer and not just be jammed into a residential neighborhood. I so enjoyed sitting outside with my morning tea and taking in the sweeping views. The house was perfect for my husband and I. I liked the kitchen being open to the living area so I could hang out and cook while watching a movie or just hang with my husband. Loved! the big soaking tub (a little glass of wine and a candle and I was in heaven). The great price allowed me to stay a little longer and the owners were so pleasant and helpful. Close by enough to be there when I needed them but had the privacy we wanted. I can't wait to go back and have recommended it to several friends, one couple is going for their Anniversary - I look forward to hearing about their stay.

  We had a wonderful time in the North Shore while staying at this cottage. Don and his family was warm and friendly. Information described is accurate and we find that it was a very comfortable stay for our family of four (two adults, 3 year-old and a ten month old). We were so busy exploring the area, we did miss out on exploring the property and close by hiking trail. We found the place to be well equipped with every we need, from beach toys to boogie boards. Our kids played with the beach toys a lot, and later the 3 yr old learnt to balance on the boogie board, which I have to say was the best time he'd had this trip. When we needed a beach umbrella, Don brought it right over, but we didn't use it at the beach because it was so windy. My family's favorite beaches to hit was Anini & Secret Beach. We also love that Don provided organic toiletries for his guests, it made our stay all the more special. I have two little children and wouldn't use conventional personal products.

  I wanted to go to Kauai for our family vacation and especially wanted to stay on the North Shore. I did not want a tiny hotel room, as we were staying for a week. Nor did I want to deal with crowds and long waits for everything that goes with a hotel stay. I hit the jackpot when I stumbled onto this wonderful cottage on the VRBO website. This could not have been more perfect. It was for one thing, adorable. I just loved the way it was decorated. It was roomy and comfy and offered all of us enough space and privacy. Also, the grounds and surrounding property were stunning. Every window offered a gorgeous view. We found the location to be perfect. We had easy close access to the best beaches on the island. I absolutely LOVED this place. We’ve already decided we will definitely be back next summer!

  we were greeted by the sweetest and kindess hosts, the very roomy open feeling and sooo comfortable cottage was fully stocked with all the necessary ammenities all situated on a old hawaiian pastoral setting lush with vegetation and away from the crowds serene beauty but close enough to all only the north shore kaui can offer, we were in heaven and at an unbeatable price a must stay and we will return...

  Stumbled upon this place when I was looking for a quiet getaway on the island(Kauai is my favorite)and was glad I did. Lovely and private cottage which is truly Hawaiian style. It feels like you are on a plantation (The owners house is nearby but completely separate.) Clean and quiet(except for the occasional roosters that roam all over Kauai-I'm surprised Steven King hasn't incorporated a Kauai rooster zombie invasion into his writing as yet!) and the price is right. You'll want a car to get to Hanalei(what a view!) and beaches. My boyfriend and I like being off the beaten path and doing our own thing.We are already planning on when we can get back to this little romantic hideaway .

  Beautiful spot on a beautiful island.Got to stay here early October and loved the feel and space of this place.Amazing views-esp the front towards the mountains.(we were lucky as it hardly ever rained so they were prominent every day) Cottage is close to key North Shore areas(inc secret beach) and Princeville.I wanted to explore more of the island but sort of settled in to the whole vibe of the North Shore.Plus, it was nice to come back to a feeling of home rather than my usual hotel stays. Watch out for the owners Dog (horse!)Hes friendly as ever and has one heck of a wet nose!
