  I recently went with my husband on a weekend getaway as a surprise for a good friends Bday. My friend set up all the plans and I looked at the pics online. I was so scared that when arriving it wouldnt be the same, but I must say this place was absolutely beautiful! I am a full time wife and mommy and this was the nicest place to get away from it all! It had all the needs from home, but the calmness was priceless. The house was clean and well kept but the way it was furnished and decorated made it comfortable to be in like home! The neighbors were very nice, and the security system(Rex) best thing by far cause my husband was scared thinking a dog was going to get him haha... by far great place to stay! Cant wait to make plans for the future. Told my inlaws about it and they are already wanting to plan a trip this summer! Loved it Loved it Loved it!!

  This home was perfect for our yearly family gathering! It is even more beautiful in person. It comfortably slept five adults & two children. Each of the four bedrooms were spacious and decorated beautifully. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space in each room to properly unpack. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and baking. This was our first trip that did not require a trip to the store for some random cooking utensil. As a Nespresso owner, I can not tell you how happy I was to find they even had a Nespresso machine with several strengths of coffee pods. We really enjoyed the wrap around kitchen counter during meal times. The kids loved the playroom. It was had plenty of games, movies, and seating. My favorite space was the living room with the fire pit seating area. This seating feature was really unique and simply perfect for sitting next to the fire with a glass of wine. The home is less than five minutes away from the grocery store and a short drive to Alpine Meadows. Our family was very pleased with the location and the quality of the home amenities.   We had a blast! This is a beautiful house with a lot of warmth. 3 levels of sitting area in front of the fireplace is a special treat for family time. Loads of board games, dart board, foosball in a separate media/game room for quiet fun time away from the kids (or for kids away from the parents :). Rooms are comfortable with luxury beds and beddings. Kitchen is stocked with everything you may need, and you might even get lucky with some bottle of wine! Host was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early as we got there early and she did not want us to freeze in pouring snow :) All in all, great fun family time at a beautiful Tahoe location!   This is a beautiful home located right outside of the heart of Tahoe City - our favorite place on the Lake. The location was great - close skiing/sledding spots and also to town for quick errands, but far enough that it was quiet and secluded feeling. The interior was super cozy and stylish, with a BBQ on the deck and a fully appointed game room on the ground level to keep the adults and the kids entertained. One of our favorite aspects about this house was the main living area, which was an open floor plan and easy for everyone to cook and hang out throughout the day. We also liked that the game room was far enough away from the bedrooms that the adults could watch TV and have fooz-ball and dart tournaments while the kids slept, without worrying about waking anyone up. Hilde was friendly and super responsive to any questions we had, and the instructions for arrival were very clear. The house was spotless and well-appointed, even down to a package of replacement heads for the darts--they thought of everything. If (when!) we return to Tahoe, we will definitely try to stay at this lovely cabin again.   We just returned from a beautiful weekend and would give this house the highest rating possible. The home was lovely, a nice mix of modern and comfortable. I appreciated that instructions and information were very clearly laid out around the house and in a binder. Hilde was very responsive and a pleasure to work with.   This home is absolutely stunning and was perfect for our weekend ski getaway. The decor is super chic while still leaving a feeling of warmth and comfort. Hilde was such an amazing host and promptly replied to every email, she even granted us a special request that we truly appreciate. We thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the kitchen which was equipped with everything from a kitchen-aid mixer, Cuisinart coffee maker to a nespresso machine. Overall it was a 5 star experience and I would highly recommend this home to anyone. My favorite memory was doing yoga on the balcony on Sunday morning with the sun was beaming over snow. Sorry, No Pets, no smoking. A maximum occupancy rate of 8 people is strictly reinforced. Minimum age requirement of renter 26 years. We take pride in keeping the house clean and in pristine condition. Please leave your shoes in the interior entry Hawaiian style, especially during winter! Please obey bear rules (trash must be placed inside the bear locker at the front of the driveway, no food left in the car or outside, no open doors windows when not at home, no feeding of the bears) to prevent bear break-ins. Please do not turn the heat below 55 degrees in the winter time - pipes will freeze/burst. No large gatherings (12 people max) or events/parties at the house. Child- and family friendly! We are looking to rent to a select responsible few who will respect and take care of our house as if it were theirs during their vacation. The house is in pristine condition and we would like it to stay that way. If you are looking for a party house, please look elsewhere. Thank you.
