She is located a short two minute walk to the beach, the C-Shop (candy/ice-cream/bike rental), gourmet coffee shop and unique gift shops.
Five years old and furnished, you will feel that you are staying in a wonderfully, comfortable home away from home.
From the moment that you step onto the laminate floors which flow throughout the home, and realize that the kitchen with a new gas stove is fully equipped for the gourmet cook, you will be under her spell.
The kitchen is open to the vaulted ceiling livingroom. The gorgeous gas river rock fireplace brings warmth in the winter and a great ambiance year round.
The livingroom is a great area for the entertainment centre with surround sound, or for playing a game or putting together one of the many puzzles.
You are sure to enjoy the Comfortable Queen size Cape Cod bed, or the two double sofa beds in the livingroom. The smoke-free cottage sleeps four comfortably and six in a pinch. A full bathroom offers a tub with a shower.
Enjoy outside moments on the deck or the fenced yard. A new barbecue is outside, or take the smaller portable charcoal one to the public beach, or the State Park beach a ten minute walk away, where you can spread out and enjoy larger gatherings, and a beach fire.

We had a fabulous time in this cute little hideaway! We enjoyed exploring in different directions on several days and it was so cozy to come "home" here in the evenings. Thank you for keeping it so lovely and for having dishes, pots, pans and kitchen tools that made our vacation meal preparations a breeze.

Wow! This place is magnificent. Thank you for having us.My girlfriend and I had the best time imaginable. Everything was nice and clean. Also everything was stocked up and ready for us. We were both extremely thrilled when we first came in, looking at every room and feeling excited and somewhat spoiled at every new thing we saw. We didn't spend much time here, because of all the shoppin she HAD to do. But every moment here was memorable. Thank you again for letting us stay here. Perhaps we will return another day.

We have had the most incredibly relaxing weekend that we've had in years. This was a perfect getaway for my husband to unwind after a long deployment to Kuwait. We could think of no better reunion for us. We will remember this weekend and this cottage forever. Thank you.

Great, cute place to stay. Well stocked cabin, you thought of everything! We enjoyed meals with our son here. He came up twice from B'ham. Our son said he'd like to own a house like this, so much nicer than his apartment. Thanks so much, we really enjoyed our stay here!

We had such a relaxing stay. Lynden is quaint town. The "Dutch Mother" makes good food. On the rainy Sunday we slept-in, watched movies and just relaxed. This place has all one needs. The flooring (laminate) is such a nice change from carpets in hotels. It feels cleaner to walk on. Great job on decorating.

Burnt red sunsets, beach combing, many walks to the beach, drives to Lynden, exploring the area, fun in the yard, ice cream, hot/sunny autumn days which have been deceptively summer-like, "camping" in the livingroom on the sofabed while our 4 year old luxuriated on the queen sized bed and her little sister (1 year old) is wedged into her playpen...These are a few of the great memories that will stay with us. Thank you Cory & Richard for a lovely 3 day stay at the Mermaid Hutch. Everything we could have wanted (and more) was at our disposal. The holiday by far exceeded our expectations (and you know how highly excited we were!) Many many Thanks.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mermaid Hutch. This was a memorable weekend to share with both of my sons and son's wife. We played board games, made good dinners and breakfasts and went to the Blue Fish to sing Kareoke. My husband and I celebrated our 4th anniversary on the 5th and had a delightful dinner at the Semiamhoo with beautiful flowers he pre-ordered at the table. We took lots of pictures, laughed and loved evert bit of our stay. The cottage was warm and cozy. Love the fireplace. Thank you!
