Magnificent views from our beautiful 2200+ sf stretched designer home located on the first hole of the Laurel Valley Arnold Palmer Championship 27 hole golf course. It is just a very short walk from our home to the Arnold Palmer club house/ practice facility that includes a driving range, putting and chipping greens and great restaurant. Also within a short walking distance is the Bridgeport Recreational Center with bocce courts, tennis courts, pool, shuffle board, horse shoes, card room, meeting rooms and pool tables in addition to the adult (over 30) Winifred pool. The Villages is a fully golf cart accessible community and our home comes with a 4 seat gas powered golf cart with side curtains for those cool nights. We are less than a 10 minute golf cart ride to Lake Sumter Landing downtown that features some great restaurants (Panera Bread, Codys, Too Jays Deli, Starbucks, Fridays, Red Sauce, etc) movie theatre, nightly music and dancing in the square, Barnes and Noble book store and lots of shopping. We are also a 10 minute golf cart ride in the other direction to the Southern Trace shopping plaza that includes a Publix, Walmart and more restaurants. The home is a split floor plan with the master suite with a king size bed, 2 huge walk in closets and a large master bath. The guest side of the home has a guest bedroom with a queen size bed and an office/3rd bedroom with a full bath between the two rooms. There is a couch in the office that pulls out to make a full size bed. Home sleeps 6 not including the pull out sofa in the living room . Linens, bath towels, beach towels and initial consumables (bath soap, toilet paper, dish detergent, napkins, paper plates, laundry detergent, etc) is included. There is also a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board in the laundry room with solar tubes and 1 ½ car garage. The dining room/living room features a beautiful glass top table with seating for 6 and a large leather sectional with a pull out bed. The living room also has an entertainment center with a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cabinets, microwave, electric range and oven, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans, place setting for 12+, utensils, breakfast bar with 2 bar stools and a glass top table with seating for 4. There is also a large table and seating for 6 in the lanai overlooking the golf course and undeveloped land beyond for a very private setting. The lanai has a new tile floor and sun shades. A gas grill piped to the home gas service is also included so no need to fill a propane tank. We also have a men’s and women’s bicycles and helmets, a set of women’s golf clubs, a set of men’s left handed golf clubs. The rent includes high speed wireless internet. The Villages is conveniently located in central Florida just an hour north of Orlando. The Villages is the largest 55 and over adult community in the country and is commonly referred to as a Disney Land for adults. It spreads across 3 counties and includes two on site down towns with a third down town currently under construction. Each down town includes shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, nightly music and dancing. You can access any part of the Villages by golf cart so you do not even need a car to go shopping at stores like Wallmart, Lowes, Publix, Sweetbay, and also all kinds of restaurants including Olive Garden, Outback, Cody's, Fridays, Paneara, etc.
The amenities and activities located on site include 10 championship golf courses with all but one including 27 holes, approximately 30 executive golf courses which you can play for free with a Villages ID, tons of recreational centers with pools, shuffle board, pickle ball courts, tennis courts, horse shoe pits, meeting rooms, pool tables, on site polo matches, and more all of which is also accessible by golf cart.
The various neighborhoods are referred to as villages. Our home is located in one of the most sought after villages called the village of Winifred due to its central location and being located on the first hole of the Arnold Palmer Championship Golf course. It is professionally landscaped and maintained.
There is so much to do and the people are very friendly. The Villages really is America's friendliest home town.

About the owner: Sharon and I enjoy an active lifestyle and have always talked about purchasing a home in a warm climate as we live in Lynnfield MA and could use a break form the cold winters. The Villages is the perfect place for us to enjoy out activities like golf, pickle ball, walking, bike riding, etc all year long.
Why the Owner Chose Winifred: We visited the Villages in 2005 with no intention of buying a second home but we fell in love the Villages because of all of the activities, clubs, golfing, ability to access amenities by walking or golf cart and the friendly atmosphere. When we found this home with its perfect location and private back yard view to the golf course we couldn't pass it up. We purchased this home in 2005 and furnished it for our personal use and this is the first year we have decide to rent it.
The Unique Benefits at this House: The location of this home and the view out the back onto the golf course and acres and acres of undeveloped land beyond was just too much for us to pass up. Being able to walk to the driving range, putting green, restaurant, pools, activity centers was just and added bonus.
