Pelican Cove in Sarasota originated as a wildlife sanctuary and is beautifully landscaped with many tall trees and flower gardens. There are hiking paths, six swimming pools, a hot tub, an exercise room, two tennis courts, and woodworking and sculpture facilities. Several courses each winter are taught by retired professors on a large variety of topics. Programs include jazz concerts, parties for singles and couples, mahjong and bridge groups, ping pong, dancing, water exercises, and art and photography groups, to name a few. It is a very active, friendly community. You'll love it there! Renters keep coming back year after year.

Why the Owner Chose Pelican Cove:
I especially like the green landscaping, lovely old trees and beautiful flowers. And when I read one of the monthly newsletters and saw that there was so much going on, I decided to purchase. You can participate in many activities such as line dancing, tai chi, yoga, tap dancing, and art, just to name a few. There is an active social club, jazz club, kayak club, and speakers series. There are many donated books and DVDs available to borrow at no cost.
Free movies are shown at the Pelican Pavilion a couple of times a month. There's something for everyone!
