Blue Shore is your perfect vacation home that sleeps up to 12 people. You will enjoy the large and open feel of this home styled in beach cottage chic but with today's modern amenities. Located just 5 miles from downtown Traverse City on Leelanau Peninsula, Blue Shore offers a private beach, comfortable home with water views from almost every room, and amazing sunrises that you will remember for years to come!
Blue Shore is an expansive home perfect for large families, couples retreats or the girls/guys get away weekend with views of the bay from almost every room.
Right when you walk in, you are immediately greeted by a 2 story open concept with windows everywhere. The open feel extends into the kitchen, dining, and living room area all overlooking large doors that open to let the lake breeze in.
The kitchen has all amenities, including a double oven and granite counter tops. It opens directly to dining area that has a large table that can seat up to 8 people comfortably. Kitchen and dining area open to the living room that has a large couch perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views or watching TV on the 52 inch flat screen above the stone gas fireplace. Step outside on the decks overlooking the beach and water to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or late night glass of wine.
Down the hall off the dining area is a full guest bathroom plus a laundry room with washer/dryer. 1st level also features a master bedroom with private bathroom, queen bed and large doors with private deck to take in the water views. 2 additional bedrooms with full beds share a private jack and jill style bathroom.
2nd level has a large master bedroom with king bed, private bathroom and doors that open up to a private deck. Upper level has 2 living areas with stone fireplaces and large doors that open to let more fresh air in. This space is perfect for extra sleeping or kids' play area. It even features a wet bar! 2nd level houses a dormer with bunk beds and twin beds.
Basement level has a large sitting area with another stone fireplace, another full kitchen and another full bathroom with sauna. It is perfect not have to run up and downstairs to main area all day as it has large doors that open right outside to your own private beach.
Beach area is just a few steps down from house. Walk down and relax in the sand and wade in the beautiful water. Launch your kayaks or paddle boards from the dock or build sandcastles instead. Beach area is equipped with several chairs, umbrellas, and toys. At night gather around the fire and cook smores!
Blue Shore is the ideal 'Up North' retreat. Not only can you enjoy your own private beach but her location is perfect for day trips....go wine tasting, explore Suttons Bay, check out the Dunes, golf or ski-depending on the time of year, shop downtown Traverse City, drive along the famous M22, and so much, MUCH more!

About the owner: We are full time Northern Michigan residents who love the beach, boat as much as we can, chase around a toddler, and enjoy all Northern Michigan has to offer.
Why the Owner Chose Traverse City:
Blue Shore was empty for a few years before we bought her. We are pain stankingly updating her and refreshing her with a little DIY to bring her back to all of her glory. She has the most amazing Lake Michigan water views, beautiful beach and gorgeous sunrises in all of the world-believe us, we like to travel. We bought Blue Shore to eventually live in full time but for now, we get to share it with you.
