This house has amazing space! Great for hanging out with the family or entertaining. 2 master suites makes this a great vacation for 2 family visitors, each has it's own bathroom a door out to the deck (one is a king-sized bed and one is a queen). House just purchased and renovated in 2012. The third bedroom is a queen-sized bed. The fourth bedroom is two twins with a trundle. Every room has brand new furniture and linens. Lofted ceilings. Entire back of the house is deck and over looking the golf course. Wintergarden Spa is 150-200 meters away!
There is a basement room with a pool table, fuze ball and television...say bye, bye to the kids and husbands!
Although well known for ski season, Spring, Summer, and Fall are our favorite times of year to visit Wintergreen. There are way too many outdoor activities to list, but a couple of our favorites are tennis, golf, hiking, wine tasting, antiquing, music festivals and The Dome, The Wintergreen Nature Center, and just sitting on our deck and taking in the fresh mountain air. The Out of Bounds Adventure Park has a skateboard park, paintball, and the recently added zipline. Professional guides are available for mountain biking. Our dogs love to go hiking all around Wintergreen. Lake Monocan is near by and has numerous activities available. Everything is centrally located and there is a Shuttle service which is available from 7AM until Midnight so driving is optional.
Do you have young children? The Treehouse is a one mile away and offers half and full day children activities. The staff is amazing and keep the children busy.

We arrived to a clean, welcoming rental. A problem with the oven was fixed promptly by the owner! We enjoyed out family weekend, had plenty of space for 6 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. Perfect for Easter on the mountainRecommended for: Families with young children, pet owners.

We enjoyed staying at this home. It is spacious and had a beautiful fireplace which kept the living space cozy. Beds were comfortable and home was clean. It was close to wintergreen resort- about 2 minute drive. Very convenient. Kitchen was updated and clean. The landlord was very responsive and helpful. The house is down a steep driveway followed by a stairwell as were most homes on the block. Unfortunately an ice storm made it challenging to get from the car and into the house. We would definitely rent this house again. The photos do not do it justice! We didn't end up using the pool table room as you have to go outside to access it. Also the only pool access with the rental is an outdoor pool which would be good in the summer.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

That driveway can be tricky, I hope you found the salt we keep in the closet for just these situations. I did want to clarify that you do have access to an indoor pool and hot tub with our WPI "guest of an owner" pass, but it isn't free. There is a $10/day charge to use this pool. This pool is at the Wintergarden which is about 250 yards from the house! There is also a workout room there and the charge covers that as well. We stayed here with another family w/ kids for a ski weekend and were very comfortable. We had 5 adults and three children age 6 and under, and everyone had their own space (kids together in one room). The kitchen/dining/living area is very spacious and well equipped. We had a great time and I would highly recommend this house.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We were hoping for some snow to take the kids tubing and ice skating, but the weather decided otherwise. Despite the lack of snow we had a wonderful stay, thanks to this beautiful home. We truly enjoyed the fireplace and had a fire every day, the bedrooms are beautiful and comofortable, the kitchen is a dream and we cooked every night, the game room was one of my 5 year old favorite place and we played pool every day, the fenced in deck was great for our dog, we were able to let him out without worrying about him running too far. This home is beautiful and very peaceful, the picture on the site do not do it justice. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners.

About the owner: We are an active traveling family with 4 vacation properties for rent. This 4-bedroom 16th green Wintergreen, Virginia home, a slope side Condo in Wintergreen, a Townhome in Cottonwood, Utah (8 miles from Alta, Snowbird, Solitude Brighton) and an ocean Front House in Oak Island, NC . Vacation Year Round in one of our wonderful homes! We offer 10% discounts for customers who stay in two our homes in the same year. We are pet friendly because ours are a part of the family. We love to ski and play tennis as a family, but travel frequently for Sarah (Mom) who is a frequent triathlon competitor. The girls all learned to ski at Wintergreen and all have gone on to compete for Wintergreen! Out of these four homes Wintergreen is by far the most special to us. We have spent the most time here as a family and in doing so, instilled a love in being together. We believe it helped us raise our children to make better choices as they grew and spent more time away from us.

Located on the 16th Green of the Devils Knob Golf Course. Watch golfers bag birdies all day on the easiest hole on the course. House has been completely renovated...Modern Kitchen, Great Room with Huge TV and New Furniture. Every bedroom has a TV and a new mattress. High quality sheets. Pool table and a foos ball table for fun day and night. You are here to have fun and this is the place to do it. Decks galore. 2 master suites. Bunk beds with 3 beds in bedroom 3 and queen in the 4th bedroom.
My husband Lyons grew up in Virginia and skiing at Wintergreen. This mountain instilled in him a passion for skiing, so he chose Univ. of Utah for his undergrad and a chance to ski more. It was our dream to own a Dobie condo at Wintergreen. Now our girls have all learned to ski here and compete for Wintergreen race team. I'm from NH and I'm reminded of my home when I'm at Wintergreen. We ski in Virginia and its cool in the summer, what more could we ask for. I love being at Wintergreen in the Spring, Summer and Fall as much as the Winter. It is always 10 degrees cooler and has that mountain feel to it. We play tennis daily at WTGs amazing tennis facility with several clay courts. We also love hiking year round, but Harley our dog, loves this the most! Wintergreen is our refuge, its our family get-away. As I say to my husband, 'it brings me great joy.' Hope it brings you joy as well.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We have been coming to Wintergreen for 40 years and I identified the best 20 houses on the mountain for location. A new listing every week and finally one came up for sale this fall. I bought it and now you can enjoy it to. Its and unbelievable vacation location. Maximum privacy, but in the middle of the entire upper mountain. Cars are convenient, but not necessary here. Short walk to everything on the upper mountain.
