  We just wanted to say mahalo nui loa for allowing us to share your space. We loved our stay and your location was so lovely. We knocked to say goodbye but I guess you were out for the day. I have to admit it is really hard to sleep here at home without the sound of the surf so close and I miss seeing the turtles coming to eat each night as the tide came in, such a magical spot you have. We really loved our stay. As I mentioned I am a flight attendant and I know many of us are always looking for places to vacation on the Islands.. I will forward your listing information on to others in the future. Mahalo, a hui hou malama pono Roz and Maria ( I hope you liked the coconut Maria doodled for you we thought it was fitting) :)

• Wonderful Stay!

  My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights last week (July 2011), and we had a wonderful time. The view from the unit is amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better ocean view. We loved listening to the sound of the waves; although the traffic noise from the bedroom occasionally drowned it out (and sometimes disturbed my sleep). Ann and her husband were lovely hosts. We did have a problem with bugs (earwigs I believe?) the second night of our stay in the bedroom. We let Ann know and she immediately took care of the problem. The unit was a bit small but perfect for my husband and I for that length of stay. We didn't spend too much time in the unit since there are so many beautiful beaches nearby. Overall I would be happy to stay again.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  Ann, It's Kelley's sister Dio. Hi! Haven't seen you since the UNFORGETABLE time you saved our precious Labrador from her wandering on the highway, after being stolen from us by a neighbor. That was about 1984? My little girl, who was 5 then is twenty eight now, lives in Washington and is coming to Turtle Bay for her wedding in Aug. Thought I could rent your place with my 9 yr. old granddaughter around Aug. 6th to Aug. 13 I think. How are you? And family? Dio O'Nan Eberling

  I stayed here in December 06. I loved it! Waking up every day of my vacation to the sound of the ocean was just incredible. People give me shocked looks when I tell them I stayed there for $75 a night and show them the pictures. Unit is just as advertised, small and cozy. It was near enough to the action of the North Shore, yet not so close that it was noisy (since the Rip Curl Pro was taking place that week) Ann and Richard were wonderful hosts. I can't wait to go back!

  We recently stayed here. Had a great time. This location is NOT Kewela Bay, however, and we were disappointed to have been missled. It was a great location-just not what we expected and not as listed. Kay Graton

  Owner response: This is due to a misunderstanding due to the way the website managers sort the listings. VRBO places our unit in an area they call "Kawela," not Kawela Bay. Nowhere in our own part of the listing do we make any reference to being on Kawela Bay. We have contacted VRBO about making a change to avoid future misunderstandings.

  My wife and I stayed here in February 05. You could not ask for a better location. Sleeping and hearing the waves crash all night could not be better. Space is small, but the location and owners are great. Will try again

  WELCOME TO OUR GUEST BOOK Please feel free to enter any comments that you may have regarding your stay with us. We value what you have to say, to include any suggestions for improvement of our facilities or services. Some guests have suggested adding a full kitchen to our unit. While we agree this would be a big improvement, current building code restrictions do not allow adding another complete kitchen to our home. We find that most guests manage quite well with the small fridge, microwave, hot plate, toaster, and coffee maker. They also enjoy taking advantage of the different types of restaurants located within a 15-minute drive.

Additional information about rental rates

State of Hawaii taxes of 13.75% are added to rental charge.

Cleaning fee: $50

Deposit of $100 is due at time of booking. Remaining balance is due 30 days prior to check in.

Reservations are not confirmed until deposit is received.

If reservation is cancelled with less than 30 days notice, we will try to re-book the nights involved, but if unable to do so, no refund can be made.
