'La Colombina' apartment is very nice and just renewed in a central street, near Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria/Uffizi. Located on a 1st floor with elevator. Wide and beautiful building's entrance made in the typical and famous gray Serena stone. In the apartment there is a bedroom with a king size bed, a fully equipped bathroom with washbasin, wc, bidet and shower. The bright and wide living room with 2 windows has a comfortable sofà-bed (convertible bed for 2 people cm 160x200). Perfect accomodation to visit the center of Florence, the apartment is in a old charming street with many beautiful shops and exhibition places.
In the middle of the town's medioeval area, the apartment is very calm and the street is suggestive. A small church with its archaic Roman forms is just behind the corner, in Piazzetta del Limbo. The church holds the flint that Pazzino de’ Pazzi brought to Florence on his way back from the first crusade (1099). The stone was used to distribute the sacred fire to the inhabitans of Florence in the traditional Cerimony of the Explosion of the Cart on Easter, to light the dove-shaped rocket (called Colombina) that hits the cart.
Around the corner you will find the palace of the famous fashion house Ferragamo and, in a few steps, you will reach Via Tornabuoni, which is overlooked by the windows of the biggest names in Italian fashion. In the historical center of Florence, thanks to many pedestrian streets, is pleasant to walk and discover the little details. You can feel the atmosphere of the Renaissance churches and palaces of the old families of the city.

I would recommend this apartment it is within walking distance to all of the historic down town. I was there for 2 weeks and never had to use a taxi. Less than a 5 minute walk to grocery store, 1 block from the Ponte Vecchio bridge. The apartment is very clean and has everything you need. I hope to go back to Italy again and will definately stay there. You wont find a nicer place for the moneyRecommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you Steven. You and your family are welcome again!

Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

For those who wish to experience the very best apartment accommodation in Florence they can look no further than this wonderful property. My family of four stayed here in December and loved every minute. The apartment is so central. The Ponte Vecchio is literally a stones throw away and the central plaza and shopping precinct less than three minutes. The apartment is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and we were very sad to leave it. Sandra and Diana did everything to ensure that we were met and fully briefed on both the apartment but also Florence. We will definitely be back.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Stephen, thank you soo much for this wonderful review. We hope to see you again in Florence! Your family was very polite and we had a nice experience with all of you.

BeatriceRecommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, families with young children.
Sandra "We spent a few nights in the apartment and wait for the next opportunity to return to Florence and stay again at "Colombina". This is the name given by the owners at the apartment. Located in a historical and characteristic area is close to the main shopping streets. Close are shops of Gucci, Cavalli, Tiffany, Ferragamo and many others. In this part of town is pleasant to walk and so we went around and found the small church of Piazza del Limbo, the church is very old and was used on Easter Sunday during the festivity of the chariot and the outbreak of the "dove." From here we understand the origin of the name. Cozy and bright, the apartment is fully equipped and has plenty of space and coming back from our visits to museums and churches in the city, returning home was always very relaxing. All major sights are within walking distance and it was easy to reach them, and every morning in 5 minutes we were in Piazza Signoria for a coffee and from there we moved to our steps to visit the city. Thanks for a pleasant stay"
