You'll find everything you need in your fully furnished kitchen, including beautiful maple wood cabinets with granite counter tops. It is stocked with new Dansk dishware and flatware and is completely set up for entertaining. There is so much cookware, you might not know what some of the gadgets are used for. There is also a fondue kit (fun!) w/cookbook, full size griddle, panini maker, blender, hors d'voeuvre knife and cheese tray sets, breakfast in bed klack (2) trays, indoor grill, chef aprons, large & small slow cookers, crab & lobster pots...you name it, we have it. There's even a Cuisinart ice cream and yogurt maker with recipes and directions!
The Sandpiper is newly remodeled with carpeting, paint, furnishings, and appliances. The hardwood floors have been refinished, and the unit is always meticulously and vigorously maintained. You have your own fireplace along with a 32' flat screen TV and DVD player. The mattress is new, with luxurious bedding you will appreciate. A jetted tub, toilet, and separate shower are in their own private room in the master bath. New towel sets and two (2) robes are included. iHome station to charge and play iphones and ipads.

The accompanying bathroom is full-sized and includes new towel sets and updated fixtures for your enjoyment. This bathroom is accessible from the bedroom and/or the hallway. You can also lock bedroom entrances if you wish to allow guest bath access from the hallway but not into the guest room.
The den has a new single sleeper sofa, a 17' flat screen TV with DVD player, and a desk for writing or internet surfing. It does offer some privacy with blinds and a door. There is a small library of books, board games and Blu Ray/DVD movies in this room. If you finish a good book or DVD while on vacation, consider leaving it for other guests to enjoy.
All guests have access to the Beach Club (directly across from this unit) that includes a huge pool, jacuzzi, wifi, exercise room, large gas fireplace, pool table, heated indoor pool, and a 19-seat theater. Perfect In Every Way
Perfect In Every Way
Stop wasting your time looking for rentals on the Oregon coast!! Just go ahead a book this gem if it is available. You and your party will be so glad that you did. Why? 1. A caring and reactive owner. Steve was readily available before we booked and after we arrived. From the way he has included everything you would possibly need to the immediacy with which he returns your calls. 2. Pictures. Go ahead and peruse the ones listed on this site. Now imagine the actual property being better than the pics. Hard to really describe the beauty of this area, and the view right outside your living room and bedroom. Big patio with glass enclosure. 3. Cleanliness. This place is spotless through and through. Enough said!! 4. Big, comfortable beds, in roomy bedrooms with large bathrooms attached. 5. Do you like Whales? We were there for 10 days in early May and saw 2-3 every day. Plus, all the seals, sea lions and birds. What a show. Or you can pay $50-75 and go out on the whale watching tours that park right out your window. 6. Everything Included. Don't bring anything!! So many kitchen, bathroom items!! Microwave, oven, new refrigerator. 7. Wi-Fi. Good connection. Caveat: cell phone service area sometimes spotty. 8. Double fireplace. So wonderful. Enjoy in the living room, retire by firelight in the bedroom. 9. Lots of amenities on site. Super large heated indoor pool and hot tub. 10. Lots of places to eat. Don't miss Tidal Rave, so good!!! I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Would go back in a heart beat and will for sure next year. Oh yeah, forgot. VALUE. Great price for such a superb property. I know, we did lots of research and luckily decided to stay here.

Excellent!!!!! I have always had a dream of a perfect vacation of sitting on the rocks above the sea and watching the ocean water splash up against the cliffs. I found it. And the room that Steve provided added to that dream. It was just 30 yards from the ocean with perfect views of the water/rocks/surf. The room was spacious. Well taken care of. And the views.... WOW. We also hit a perfect week. 55 to 65 degrees every day except one and sunny everyday but one. This was unusual weather for January in Depoe Bay. We just missed one of their famous winter storms by a few days. (shucks) Well, this mid-westerner still got to experience sights that you don't see in Ohio. The surf at night sounded like a spring thunderstorm. The ocean spray during the day produced rainbows at times. And yes, we saw whales. Do I recommend this room? Yes. Definitely, yes.

Incredible Get Away Location
Incredible Get Away Location
We had the pleasure of staying at this location spanning New Year for a total of four days. This was a much needed family escape as it has been some time since we have been able to get away. Arriving at the location we were absolutely blown away with how clean and well maintained the unit was. We arrived late at night after a long drive up the California and Oregon Coast so after unpacking it was a pleasure to fall into the large comfortable beds and simply sleep the night away. As nice and modern as the inside of the unit is, the true beauty of the location comes to light in the morning when you have the chance to see the ocean crashing right beneath your balcony. As our kids were still sleeping the wife and I were able to make a pot of coffee (owners provide all the creature comforts) and get a blanket and sit out on the deck and simply take in the incredible ocean front location of the unit. The unit provides more than enough space for our four kids and the wife and I. We never felt like we were stepping over each other as the kids enjoyed having their own spaces with TV's for evening entertainment and the wife and I were able to enjoy a relaxing time listening to the ocean in the evening and planning the next day adventures. The best part of the condo, other than the comfortable beds, has to be the large open kitchen with a view out the window to the Ocean. Had we been staying more than just he four days we would have used our first day to load up on supplies and would have spent every breakfast and dinner at the condo as the Kitchen and the supplies provided by the owners allows for a renter to enjoy meals in the comforts of the condo. In the event you travel with children it should be noted there is an indoor community pool that is heated and a nice media room that allows for renters to utilize if you have movies or a Netflix account. It provides stadium style seating and a nice large screen were your group can enjoy a private movie viewing. Can't say enough nice things about the condo. But I also would like to thank the owner as he was extremely easy to work with and was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had during the booking process. We had absolutely no reason to contact him during our stay, however I would have no doubt he would have resolved any issue we might have had during our stay in the same friendly, efficient manner he handled everything else for us. Wonderful experience with this owner.

My two teens and I just stayed at this condo and all of us were very impressed. It was immaculate, and very well appointed. The beds were extremely comfortable. The view was amazing--with binoculars provided to look for whales. I even found a book about whales to brush up before our whale excursion. We didn't cook in the kitchen, because it was just a short stay, but if we did, there were plenty of supplies in the kitchen with which to create a great meal. It was very easy to get the reservation as well. I hope to return!

Best birthday gift ever!
Best birthday gift ever!
I booked this property as a birthday gift to myself, and I don't know how it could possibly have been any better. I spent my days and nights listening to the ocean waves crashing into the rocks. The unit was immaculate, and it was stocked with absolutely everything you can think of. Steve was very responsive to my questions, and he recommended a really good restaurant (Tidal Raves) where I had dinner. In fact, the property was so nice that the only time I left it was for that dinner. I've found my new favorite place, and plan to return as often as possible!

If you enjoy unobstructed views of breaking waves on rocky cliffs, The Sandpiper can't be beat. The 2 bedoom oceanfront condo is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and all the amenities one could hope for. Relaxing happy hours on the balcony watching crashing waves and beautiful sunsets were beyond expectations.

We thoroughly enjoyed The Sandpiper
We thoroughly enjoyed The Sandpiper
As soon as we walked in the front door we knew we were in a very special place . The interior of the unit was absolutely clean and well organized , but .....more impressive was the expansive view of the Pacific !! Only a few feet off the expansive deck were crashing waves , giant rock outcroppings and whale spouts all over the place. We were immediately transformed to beach bums and whale watchers . Sooo relaxing and comfortable. Everything in the unit is either same as , or more likely even better than the listing description , all ,appliances are modern and in great working order , TVs have super clear pictures and plenty of cable channels. Beds are very clean and we slept like babies with the Pacific waves crashing not too far away. Steve the owner was very very helpful in us preparing for our visit : he directed us to the best local golf courses (Salishan , Agate Beach ,Chinook Winds) and gave us several restaurant suggestions. He even gave us his preferred driving route from Portland through wine country !! If you are considering the Central coast : look no more. This is the place. You will love it and , just like us , will not want to leave at the end of your stay !!

WONDERFUL Oregon Coast Condo
WONDERFUL Oregon Coast Condo
We have stayed in many vacation rentals along the Oregon coast and this is by far the best! We normally prefer to stay on an upper floor but the ground level view from this condo is just spectacular...you feel like you can reach out and touch the water! It looks professionally decorated....very warm and inviting. We normally eat lunch out and prepare dinner so I really appreciate a well equipped kitchen and this one has everything you could possibly want. At 1600 sq ft, it is larger than most 2 bedroom condo's we have stayed in but because of the high ceilings it feels unusually spacious and airy. It is not unusual to find all the essential items in a vacation rental, but it is unusual to find the quality and attention to detail that this unit offers....from the furniture to the bedding to the cookware ...and most important....the cleanliness. We will definitely stay here again!

A Delightful Port In A Storm
A Delightful Port In A Storm
What a gem!! We stayed at this beautiful ocean front condo for four nights. Within minutes of our arrival, we were on the balcony watching whales dancing in the ocean. During our stay, we rode out the remnants of a typhoon inside the condo and in spite of the fifty mile an hour winds and torrential rain, we were cozy and warm (the thermal floor heating system was amazing!) Watching the ocean during the storm was awe-inspiring - what a spectacular display from Mother Nature! During our entire stay, we felt very pampered with the tasteful elegance of the condo and with all of the amenities provided. Quite frankly, we would have been content to spend our entire ten day Oregon vacation here. We give our DePoe Bay condo experience a big thumbs up!! We would love to return in the future.

Depoe Bay Gem!
Depoe Bay Gem!
This immaculate property is extremely well furnished, comfortable and convenient. We were there 3 nights and unfortunately, it rained all three days. We felt very lucky to be in the condo with windows looking out at the surf so we could relax, read, t.v. and enjoy the fireplace when cool enough. Also very convenient to great restaurants and tourist attractions. Our last evening we could sit on the deck, enjoy the surf and watch the sunset. We definitely want to return to this beautiful condo.

About the owner: After visiting the Oregon Coast for over 20 years, Depoe Bay is my favorite for its small town feel and spectacular Ocean views. Like travel, anything marine biology related, golf, downhill mountain biking, wine tasting, hot air ballooning, kayaking, base jumping, telemark skiing, hiking '14ers', crabbing/deep sea/fly fishing, coastal trekking, scuba/sky diving, and meeting new people from around the World. Member Pacific Whale Foundation Maui and BMWCCA. See my friend captain Dave's latest video captured by drone on whales and dolphins here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bo_f8mV5khg#t=12 If you've never been to Depoe Bay on the Oregon Coast, then you are in for a real treat! Not only is the area gorgeous, but there is a lot to do as well. I suggest 'first timers' to the area spend at least three or four days exploring must see attractions within 30 miles North and South of Depoe Bay. Six to seven days is ideal. Copy and paste my guide for a few tips on what to do, where to eat, etc. here: http://bit.ly/11UIbA8 There are whale-watching trips, sidewalk shops, cafes, deep sea fishing charters, art galleries, aquariums, snorkeling, pier, bay, and river fishing, rock climbing, wineries, lighthouses, and much more - not to mention some of the best clam chowder in the country. Yes, on the West Coast! Shop the local farmers markets, fresh fish outlets, and wineries. Newport Bay front is a neat area to check out, they also have a great aquarium there. Don't forget the antique shops up and down HWY 101! If you are a golfer, then, yes, we have that too in some of the finest courses on the West Coast. There are 6 courses within 20 miles! Salishan GC & Resort is just a few miles North. Shoppers will absolutely love the deals to be had at all of the factory outlet shops in nearby Lincoln City. There are also plenty of local activities for the kids, including pirate treasure hunts, kite flying, beach combing, etc.
Why the Owner Chose Depoe Bay:
After owning one of the first units (1998) at The Village at North Pointe in building #1, purchased this ground floor unit in building #2 in 2000. Building #2 has floating concrete floors so you don't hear the noise from above. This unit was a model for Village at North Pointe complex and has unique features like higher counter tops, bright large foyer, large semi-covered private deck, and a full laundry room. It also has one of the best master bedroom and living area Oceanfront views in Depoe Bay.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The deck has a unique direct view of a tiny inlet where waves come crashing in and seabirds often bathe. There are also extremely rare Sea Palms growing here that you can see right from the unit. They currently stand at just under 11' tall, but were just 2'' when discovered at this location roughly two years ago. The sea palm was known by the natives of California by the name of Kakgunu-chale before any Europeans entered the region. Postelsia was first scientifically described by Franz Josef Ruprecht (1814–1870) in 1852 from a specimen found near Bodega Bay in California. Ruprecht, an Austro-Hungarian who became curator of botany at the Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg in 1839, studied seaweed specimens collected by botanist Ilya Vosnesensky, and published a paper describing one sea-grass and five seaweeds, one of which was Postelsia. The sea palm has been used by several textbooks, such as the Campbell - Reece Biology textbook, as an example of multicellular protists, as well as an example of the class Phaeophyceae.
