Owner info
Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: My husband/partner and I have managed the Log Cabin since August of 2011. The owner, a long-time family friend, retired due to poor health, and asked us to move from Oahu to manage her properties. We live at and also manage the 30-room Kamuela Inn in Waimea.
Why the Owner Chose Ahualoa:
The Log Cabin is a unique building, set in the as-yet little known forest community of Ahualoa. Situated on 5.5 acres of beautifully manicured grounds, the Log Cabin offers a tranquil and soothing retreat from the stresses of everyday life.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Agritourism is growing, as a honey farm, tea farm, coffee and macadamia nut farm, sea salt company, and more are all within walking distance from the Log Cabin. Hiking and biking trails abound; horseback riding, championship golf, ziplining, world class beaches and resorts are all within a short driving distance. World renown Waipio Valley is less than 30- minutes' drive through Honoka'a Town, and breath-taking Pololu Overlook is accessible via the Kohala Mountain Road.
With it's expansive grounds and unique construction, the Log Cabin is ideal for family gatherings, weddings, life celebrations, management workshops, health and well-being retreats, and artisan workshops. Visualize soaking in the outdoor hot tub by starlight then falling asleep to the whispering wind in the eucalyptus forest. Ah-h-h-h, such a relaxing and restoring experience.
