  We stayed in the first floor apt. It far exceeded our expectations and is a steal compared to other available accommodations. Conrad picked us up from the ferry and gave us an orientation tour of the downtown area which we much appreciated. The apartment was clean, great water pressure for being so high up, with all amenities you will need. Conrad is a great host and super helpful. He is known to everyone in town. We woke up the morning after our arrival to a breakfast of fresh fruits from Conrad's garden in the back. The house is located in a residential part of town, away from the tourists. Neighbors are super friendly and helpful. Short walk down to town, would recommend taking a taxi (plentiful, inexpensive, friendly drivers) back up from town as the incline is pretty steep. Ina was super responsive to my questions prior and after booking. If you go to Bequia, eat at the Green Bolley and the Port Hole. Great local flavor, low-cost. Overall, the apt and location exceeded expectations, hosts are friendly/super helpful.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  We went back to the island after more than 25 years. I proposed to my wife there exactly 30 years ago. This time with our sons and a couple of friends of them. Stayed almost 4 weeks. Bequia is the same or even better. Not destroyed by tourism. The extra amount of tourists have, for a visitor, made the Island even better. More restaurants and bars. Being 50+ we where a little bit nervous about renting a place. Would we find it? Was it as nice as in the pictures? We did not even get off the ferry before Conrad found us. Got us in a taxi and brought us up to this wonderful little coco-watch in the Bequian alpes. A ten minuts stroll or a 5 us taxiride away from everything. Surrounded by the local community and away from tourists. A view that is absolutly wonderful. Situated high up on the hillside that makes it naturally airconditioned even on the leward side of the island. It is as nice as in the pictures, even nicer. Conrad is a person with a lot of integrity. He is around when you need him and helps you out. Still you do not have the feeling that stay in anybodies home. A perfect neighbour that you would like to have back home. The balcony faces 3 different directions. You can watch the world and nobody can watch you. Good equipment. Nice and clean. I can imaging myself living there 30 years ago. The youngsters had a balI and stayed up all the nights, as we did in the beginning of the -80. I can imaging myself stying there 30 years from now, as long as I can climb a couple of stairs. This place is what you make it into. We can promise that it doesn´t take a lot of imagination to make it into an absolutly perfect stay. We will be back, and it will not take another 25 years.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  I live in St Vincent and so know the area well and must say that my guests and I were thoroughly impressed with this place. The only thing that caused us to rate this establishment as Good rather than Excellent was that one guest was shocked as a result of an electrical problem from the electric shower. Other than that - * Friendly and helpful owner on site * Effortless check-in and check-out * Spotlessly clean * Very well equipped / good facilities * Extremely good price * Fantastic views * Close to Port Elizabeth I would highly recommend this place and intend to send customers of my own company there in the future.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

  Bequia hat noch das ursprüngliche Flair einer Karibikinsel und man fühlt sich nach einigen Tagen wie ein "Half-Local". Ein großes Lob auch an Ina & Conrad. Zwei sehr herzliche und hilfsbereite Persönlichkeiten. Ausgezeichnetes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis für die Apartments mit traumhaften Blick auf die Admiral Bay. Ich komme wieder ...

  Nach 6 Jahren wieder, auf dem für mich schönsten Stück Erde überhaupt. Diesmal hatte ich mich im Frangipani einquartiert. Bis ich eines Tages in Lower Bay die Bekanntschaft mit Conrad und seiner „Truppe“ gemacht habe: „Sorry Sir, we want to lunch this boot“. Conrad hatte ein historisch wertvolles Walfänger-Boot erworben und dieses wieder fit gemacht. Und nun war die „WHY ASK“ bereit. Nach ein paar Bier bei Uncle Boy habe ich dann mit Conrad den Umzug ins Rainbow Castle besprochen, und wir sind anschließend alle gemeinsam zum Hafen gerudert. - Das Boot soll in Zukunft als Ausflugsboot dienen. Hatte dann wirklich eine unvergessliche Zeit in Conrads Guesthouse. Im Erdgeschoss eingezogen, konnte ich mich wunderbar ausbreiten. Neben dem großzügigen Platzangebot ist alles super geschmackvoll gestaltet. Die Küche, die Küchengeräte, WC - alles tippi toppi! Die Terrasse, mit dem wunderbaren Blick... und überhaupt hat man eher das Gefühl zu Hause als irgendwo untergebracht zu sein. Dieser bleibende Eindruck und die gemeinsamen Touren mit Conrad, Rodney und vielen anderen, die ich durch Conrad kennengelernt habe (nicht zu vergessen die Restaurants und Geheimtipps), waren das Salz in der Suppe.

  Mal abgesehen von der Erfüllung aller Erwartungen an unseren karibischen Traum durch Bequia selbst, war die Unterkunft bei Conrad und Ina ein echter Glücksgriff. Das liebevoll gestaltete, sehr geräumige Appartement im Erdgeschoss mit einer für karibische Verhältnisse ausgezeichneten Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen. Auch hinsichtlich der Sauberkeit machte sich die „teildeutsche“ Leitung bemerkbar. Der unvergleichliche Blick über Stadt und Hafen aufs karibische Meer hinaus, mit ständig wechselnden Ansichten bis hin zu fantastischen Farbenspielen zum Sonnenuntergang entlohnte uns ein ums andere Mal für den Aufstieg. (genau das Richtige für uns „Bürohengste“, die immer sportlicher sein wollten ohne es zu übertreiben – hätten ja auch mit dem Taxi fahren können) Durch Einblicke in das echte karibische Leben der Nachbarn sowie die liebenswerte „Lebenshilfe“ durch Conrad und Ina im Umgang mit ihnen, konnten wir entspannt Land und Leute abseits des Touristenrummels kennenlernen. Dank Ina war auch immer ein Stück zu Hause mit dabei. Nicht zuletzt die unkomplizierte Rundumbetreuung von Buchung bis Anreise und der unschlagbare Preis trugen zu einem runden, unvergesslichen Urlaubserlebnis bei. Vielen Dank dafür.   Ein traumhafter Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen ! Der Blick vom Appartment ist einfach phänomenal, allein dieser Ausblick ist eine Reise wert. Man hat das Gefühl, daß einem auf der Insel nichts entgeht, man beobachtet praktisch wie die Insel erwacht und wie sie zu Bett geht. Auch das Frühstück und Abendessen auf dem Balkon vermissen wir sehr. Wer einmal Karibikfeeling pur erleben möchte muß einmal auf Bequia gewesen sein. Wir werden diesen Urlaub sicherlich nie vergessen. Susanne+Jens

  Die Fähre von St. Vincent und dann ankommen im Rainbow-Castle. Ich hab mich dort vier Wochen super wohl gefühlt. Das lag nicht nur an dem wunderbaren Blick auf die Bucht, dem liebevoll eingerichteten Apartment und der Tatsache, dass Tourismus auf dieser Insel eher am Rande vorkommt. Es lag auch daran, dass Conrad und Ina mir das Gefühl gegeben haben, dass ich zu Hause bin. Eine ganz besondere Reise war das. Und ein ganz besonderer Platz zum Auftanken. Lynn Vetter aus Köln. *** Meine Tochter und ich haben uns im Rainbow Castle rundherum wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten alles, was wir brauchten in der hübschen Wohnung im Erdgeschoss. Und ab und zu gab es leckere Früchte und Gemüse aus dem Garten. Besonders schön sind die Terrasse und der herrliche Blick aufs Städtchen und die Bucht. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.
