We rented this unit for the first time and found it very nicely laid out and much larger than expected. It was clean and well organized. The views from the unit are spectacular and we watched the sunset each night from the main balcony. It is right on the beach, within walking distance to some very nice restaurants and coffee shop, and 3 miles from the Pinellas Trail for excellent cycling. Close to all kinds of shopping and the Gulf Trolley stops right outside the building. Covered parking was a bonus. We enjoyed watching the birds from the sanctuary next door as well. Wifi in the unit was very much appreciated. Hope to come back next year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Stayed two weeks on the 4th floor in an end unit. Unit next to bird sanctuary and at times it was smelly, birds noisy, but interesting to watch. The kitchen was worn and the cabinets appeared to be original to the building from 1982. The eating utensils were mismatched, worn (some dirty) and looked dirty after a good cleaning. Luckily I brought my own knives for food preparation...the three knives in the kitchen...not sharp. The refrigerator's side shelves were taped to the door and there was evidence of failed attempts to glue some of the shelves to the door. On the plus side, the 19 year old "turn dial" microwave worked! Plates, bowls, silverware and a dirty fry pan had to be washed before using. We arrived to find ants in the unit and no basic cleaning supplies. Karen was great in getting the exterminator in the same day and dropped off a swifter and windex. I bring some cleaning supplies, but expected to find some cleanser for tubs, glass cleaner for glass table tops, a workable mop and cleaner for the glass stove top. Bonus: the unit had a roll of paper towels, dish soap, two bars of soap and a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, three dishtowels and 3 packets of laundry/dishwasher soap. (not sure which – had my own). Nice tile throughout the unit. Carpet in bedrooms – fair. The master bathroom was nicely updated. But, the self-closing drawers need knobs. The shower handle has a thermostat control which prevented hot water. Second bathroom had hot water and we used it. The second bathroom could use an update. Lights in master bathroom buzzed and slightly flickered when on. Karen had switch replaced and problem fixed. The washing machine water lines were reversed. Cold was hot, hot was cold. While hand washing dishes, kitchen sinks backed up the second night. My husband had to open the trap under the sink and unclog the drain. During our stay, we limited our use of the garbage disposal and made sure nothing went down the drain except liquids. Retractable screen doors. The latch was broken off on the side screen so the screen door would not stay closed. With the bird sanctuary next door, I wouldn't leave the glass slider door open without the screen door closed. The living room retractable screen door was also an issue, but we were able to adjust the latch to keep it closed without self-releasing its self. You can't beat the location or unit location. The beach is beautiful. And, no noise from pool!Owner response: Whilst we view every review as a positive to try to fix any problems, we do ask that if anyone has a problem to please contact us immediately so we can try rectify any issues and not to stay and write about it when you go home. Not at any time where we told of any dirty or mismatched utensils or pots. I am pleased to tell any future renters that as of now all the dishes, pots & pans and utensils have all been replaced with new, including a full knife set. The shelves on the refrigerator get damaged by putting heavy cartons on them we are replacing them all the time. We do not normally leave cleaning supplies as the unit is thoroughly cleaned before you arrive but we have now put cleaning supplies in the unit if anyone needs them. The microwave is not 19 years old! and is working fantastic so why replace it. The shower in the master has a temperature control inside that the manufacturer set to prevent scalding we cannot change this. We did know about the problem with the washing machine but this renter told us to leave it until they had left, if I had known it would have caused a negative review we would have fixed it right away, as it has been now. I will not comment on the things that were fixed when the renters were there as they are not an issue anymore but I would like to assure anyone that the unit is wonderful and I'm sure you would love your stay. Thank You.
