  I have a large family. This makes vacations very costly and staying in hotels is cramped and impossible with all the different ages. This wonderful home is a 2 bedroom, plus a fold out couch with lots of room for us to all spread out and have our own spaces at the end of long wonderful days. The house is new and we used all there was to offer. A large oversize shower to rinse off the salt and sand at the end of the day, a nice size kitchen with everything you need to cook meals (which we did every evening), two large bedrooms with king sized beds and plenty of space for all of our stuff. There were even some surprises with beach toys , chairs, boogie boards and even a few sun hats that our girls thoroughly enjoyed. We used the fold out couch as a bed as well. There is a great outdoor laundry area to take care of all of the towels from the beach and the shower! We even went home with suitcases full of clean clothes. We enjoyed the large lanai and grill with seating for our whole crew. At night we sat and talked about our favorite parts of the day and made our plans for the next day while grilling some fantastic meals. I would be very happy to stay here again. The vacation was something I will never forget. Maui is such a wonderful place. We will never forget it. Having a good home to come back to at the end of each day is what made the trip for us. We were all able to relax, unwind and recharge for the next days activities. You will not be disappointed with this property. Thank you for the great house, all of your help leading up to our stay and your hospitality while we were there. It really was like a home to us and we all agree that we would love to stay again.

  My husband, our 2 teens & I stayed for 4 nights. This was my 2nd time booking through VRBO as I'm hesitant on purchasing anything online, but the owner was great and willing to answer all my questions on the phone and via email when I was booking our stay. The owner's niece greeted us upon our arrival, gave us a tour of the cottage and provided contact info should we need anything since the owner had gone into labor and was on another island to give birth. The cottage is a separate unit in the back so the picture with the home & car parked in the driveway might be misleading. The picture is their private residence & is on there so you'll recognize it when you arrive. The owner told this to me during our first conversation, which was fine by me. We had concerns that we would disturb the owner & her family if we came home late or left early, but it really wasn't an issue. The cottage is as pictured. We were really impressed with how beautiful the place was for a rental, though we know we were one of the first few renters to date. The property is walking distance from Front Street, where there are restaurants and retail shops. The owner also has her own shop there. There are 2 king size beds in each room so there is plenty of space for two people, even a third if your child decides to climb into bed with you in the middle of the night :-) Hangers were provided & there are drawers if you'd like to empty out your suitcase. There is an LCD TV in each bedroom & in the main room so it was perfect for my husband to watch his basketball game, while the kids watched their own show & I watched a movie. A/C & ceiling fans are also in each bedroom & the main room so it was easy to quickly cool one or all the rooms as needed. We liked that there was a kitchen available because it was a good way to limit our expenses of dining out. Since the cottage is new & there was no cooking oil & condiments, except salt and pepper, we purchased a few items that we needed then left it for others to use. There is a washer & dryer available, but because of it's location (outside in an enclosed closet on the side of the building), I don't know if I bothered anyone when I used them at night (there is a second attached 1 bedroom unit, but I'm not sure if it is the owner's friend or relative who is staying in it). Overall, I would definitely recommend this property and would not hesitate to rent it again.

  We stayed in Maui for one week and were glad to find this place on VRBO. We thought we should share our positive experience in case you are planning a trip to this beautiful island of Maui. Phoenix Dieu was very accommodating and answered our questions promptly resulting in a smooth transaction. This rental was as described and depicted in the pictures. It was brand new and very clean with A/C and LCD TV in every room. We appreciated the 2 king size beds and the sofa sleeper because we have 3 kids. All the appliances were new and the granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom were very nice. My wife found all the cooking utensils useful in making our meals. We were able to walk to the Feast of Lele Luau at 505 Front St. which were the best luau in Maui. We walked on the beach and enjoyed the sunset there. We got down to historic Front St. and got some souvenirs to take home. There were a lot of shops, restaurant and art galleries. We also dined at Kimo's restaurant and Cool Cats for their famous burgers-both were great. We also drove around the island and enjoyed Hana, Wailea, Kihei, Kaanapali and Kapalua. We tried very hard to look for a newer and cleaner place close to town with reasonable rate and were very happy with our choice compared to what were available on VRBO. We highly recommend this place and definitely will book with Phoenix again next time we are in Maui.
