Stay Away - Not as Described and Rude Owners
Stay Away - Not as Described and Rude Owners
We stayed 6 nights here - it's a 3 bedroom home boasting room for 7-8 people in a “charming & warm in town home.” yet with 5 adults we were uncomfortable. The entire house has issues but the most important of which is the showers. We had no hot water or heat at all the first two days, I imagine the owners forgot to pay the gas as it didn't work at all. 16 degrees out with no heat and no hot water. It did finally work in the downstairs shower and the kitchen, but never in the master bedroom. We attempted contact with ownership several times and got no response. When we finally did, they were exceptionally rude and told us to shower in the hot tub. in addition to the hot water and heat being out we were missing basic necessities like toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags and kitchenware. The management company acknowledged the receipt of our text message saying “It doesn’t surprise me it’s been weeks since the place has been cleaned” but we didn't receive any additional supplies until two days later. Beyond the hot water - the house claims to sleep 7-8 but there were a total of 5 towels which had to be washed daily with laundry detergent we purchased. There were 3 wash cloths for the 5 of us to share. There were no additional sheets for the supposed additional beds (blow up mattresses). The sheets and blanket in the bunk room, as well as most of the towels were bleach stained. Neither downstairs bedroom had a drawer or anywhere to store clothing so living out of luggage was a necessity. The kitchen was disgusting and full of dirty dishes, all placed in the cabinets as if they were clean. The “fully equipped kitchen” was equipped with two tiny old pans - one 4” and one 6” skillet. Both still had eggs in them from the last use and were scratched beyond use. We had to go out and purchase a skillet just so we could prepare food in the kitchen. Overall horrible rental. There are so many options in Breck - go elsewhere. As for the good reviews - all except one are from the previous owner.

This was a nice stay for our family. The pictures accurately reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. It was clean and well appointed. Very close walking distance to downtown, however, there were several issues with the property. The owner was contacted to which a repair man came to fix a list of items I provided. There were critters running around in the attic, pest control was called out. The owner was very friendly and helpful in taking care of these items. They were somewhat of an inconvenience as repairs and phone calls it cut into our vacation. The owner promised to compensate us for the inconvenience for which we are still waiting after several unanswered e-mails and phone calls. For the most part, we enjoyed our stay. Summer is a great time in Breckenridge!

Your house was such a cozy home and we enjoyed staying there very much. The kitchen and bathrooms were all updated and bedrooms were very comfortable. We especially loved that this house is on a quiet street and in a great location with easy access to anything. Kids loved the toys in the basement and especially the big hot tub! You have done a wonderful job making this place quaint, comfortable, and a real home away from home. Thanks for sharing your place!

Was such a great rental in Breckenridge. The house looked exactly like the pictures and was even better in person. The location was great... Very close to the ski slopes and restaurants! The house was very spacious, new and clean. The place was very easy to find and the information provided was very helpful. I would definitely highly recommend this place to others!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and I would highly recommend this home for a number of reasons. It has been newly renovated with all new appliances, granite counters, wood floors and everything else etc. etc. We enjoyed having fireplaces in the master bedroom and living areas. There is a wrap around deck (two levels) which provides a great vantage point to observe wildlife and includes a built in "Hot Tube Time Machine". We saw a number of red foxes frolicking. There is a shortcut nature path which dumps you out onto main street in the heart of town. This is no more than a 10 minute walk to bars, restaurants, you name it. The free Breck Ride shuttle provides pickup and drop off just down the street from the house. What can I say, we had a blast here and would highly recommend this property. Claudine (home owner) was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. She made the process seamless. Sincerely, Davis

About the owner: We are two professionals in the medical field and two huge outdoor sports enthusiasts. We love the mountains all year long. We have 2 little ones and they love this home more than our primary home. Now we want to share our home with you!
Why the Owner Chose Weisshorn:
We knew we wanted a place for our kids to grow up and have fun memories in the mountains, and knew Breckenridge was a very family oriented town. We love the town of Breckenridge and our home was perfect for us. It offered us a quaint neighborhood; privacy; mountain views; 'in-town' location, yet nestled in trees; and love the walk to town. Again, it was perfect for us! Also, within 30 minutes within 4 major ski destinations and a walk or short ride to the beautiful Breckenridge Ski Resort!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Hiking (& Snowshoeing) & Mtn. Biking outside our door. Short walk to downtown Breckenridge via a trail by our house (less than 10 min walk/~6 blocks); or FREE Breckenridge Shuttle around town. Kid-friendly home; Few nearby playgrounds for the kids. We also have a huge wrap-around deck to sit and have your morning coffee or breakfast, lunch or dinner.
